我個女九個多月大，下葵涌話們佢兩邊耳都係中度弱聽，但我一直唔肯接受現實，一直認為佢會好番 …

前兩日去EMB做了耳模，佢地問我點解仲唔開始接受早期訓練同排兼容幼兒園我先識醒！我真後悔無早點看特殊教育這一頁，我希望現在不太遲。

請問我有什麼可以做？請指教。

Hi,
My daughter Sa Sa just got the hearing aid.  She doesn't like to wear it at all.  We can't put it in her ears because she always grab it out.  Any good suggestion?  We just got the left hearing aid.  We have to work hard, because we can only buy the other hearing aid if the left one works well for her.

Also, we will go to Suen Mei to have lessons soon.  It is very fast.  The Child Assessment Centre put us in line.  So, if any moms want to go to Suen Mei, you may ask the Child Assessment Centre to help.

We all should work hard on this!

Congratulations to you!  Take care of yourself and your little baby!

Sa Sa is 10 months now.  She usually wears the h/a for 2 to 3 times a day, each time 15 mins to 30 mins.  I know it is not enough, but both me and my husband have to work.  The maid has to do housework too.  Do you think I should quit my job and just take care of her?

Also, Sa Sa has a 3 yrs old brother, we have to spend time with him too...... My husband also said it is too hot to wear the h/a all the time.  So he suggested that we should let Sa Sa's ear "rest" for a while after 15 to 30 mins of wearing the h/a.  Do you think it is a practise to start?

Also, one of my friend ask me to try 針灸 with her.  Do you think I should let her try it?

Shiba-Inu and other specialists here,
My daughter Sa Sa is wearing one h/a, I want to buy another one for her.  EMB said they will help me to make the ear mold for free but I have to wait until next assessment time (in Oct).  Does any one know how much do I need to pay in EMB to buy one h/a?  If I go out to Phonax to buy one, it costs around $6000, including the ear mold, the h/a and 2 years toning services.  What should I do?  Should I wait for EMB?  Please advice!  Thanks.

Thanks a lot!  I hope Sa Sa will have the 2nd h/a soon!  Because her hearing loss dropped:
Left ear: from 45 db drop to 50 db
Right ear: from 55 db drop to 70 db
I am really afraid she can't learn how to speak well.  I don't want to send her to special schools!  She is wearing the first h/a on her left ear, but that is the better ear.  So, that is why I want the 2nd h/a so much!
