you can try to view all book by title to see if the dictionary is still there or not. Otherwise, you can go to manage your kindle on amazon and check your book collection. dictionary should be on the first few items.

Hi Laputa,

Thanks for your advice. In my kindle account, I can find the New Oxford American Dictionary but still cannot use the built in Oxford dictionary as before. Could only use google or wiki to check the words. Don't know why.

I think the kindle app is not stable. Mine has crashed after updating a few months ago and I fail to restore it. I used to put books in my mobile for quick reference at work, very inconvenient now.

Hi Laputa,

You are using the kindle app on iPad? If yes, have you deleted the kindle app and reinstalled?

If you are using a kindle e-reader, try reset the kindle, and last resort to "restore factory setting".

The more bizzare a thing is, the less mysterious it proves to be.

用不到字典。做一次 Hard Reset,按着開関制别放，要20秒以上。

謝謝你們的意見，現在還在摸索中。我的問題是在iPad 的kindle app，原本好地地睇緊書用緊內置Oxford字典,但自己手多身痕deregister原先account轉了一個新account就用不到了。再轉番起初第一個account已反魂無術！
試過delete咗個app再reinstall都唔得，亦email咗kindle攞advice，答覆是應該有built in dictionary ,叫我再試，真係唔得就要through phone or chat再傾。

冇咗內置好用嘅字典，覺得欠了什麼似的，尤其我的英文是有限公司！

唔知駛唔駛成個ipad reinstall 过再試，但又好似好大工程？

昨天在灣仔電腦城買咗kindle,最終買咗paperwhite，因阿仔話想用touch screen及vocab builder的功能，昨晚買咗green mars, blue mars兩本ebook，阿仔返學唔駛帶本借來的green mars hardcover,570頁超重的書四圍去。

冇買保護貼，唔知貼咗會唔會反光或冇咁清，試用一下看阿仔ok否，希望佢錫住用啦！你地買paperwhite是否多數買埋保護貼和cover?

我部iPad的Kindle App上個月也曾試過de-register from US Amazon 然後再register under China Amazon, 剛才試過發現字典功能正常。註：我還未升級上iOS 7, 你呢？

唔知你電腦有沒有裝 iTools 程式，　下載地址是  http://www.itools.cn/download.htm
裝在電腦後，把 iPad 用 USB 連接電腦，iTunes 會自動啟動，把它關閉。再開啟 iTools 程式，程式會展示你 iPad 所有內容。在「應用程式」＞Kindle ＞Library＞eBooks＞內應有一字典檔 B003WUYRGI_EBOK.azw  如果沒有可能錯誤刪除了。

如要原有字典，可問朋友有用 apple kindle 的經 iTools 把字典檔複製放入你 iPad上述之 eBooks Folder 內。

或電腦下載。英漢(簡體)字典下载地址： http://dl.dbank.com/c0ud5t09va 47.3M。把在電腦下載囘來的英中字典改名如上B003WUYRGI_EBOK.azw。再把檔案用 iTools 抄進 iPad 「應用程式」＞Kindle ＞Library＞eBooks＞內.  關閉 iPad Kindle 再開啟，看看可否用到字典。

我都冇用貼紙，kpw 比較難印上指模。

Hi huba,

我部iPad mini未升級iOS 7,仲係6。
我買貴咗。shadeslayer已提我要格價，我見有間話1680，一間話1480，跟住1350，最後見一間（門面算大）講到俾cash $1250就成交囉，一來見amazon定價us$139,計落都要$1100倒，二來趕趕地時間，又唔係好識講價。後來買完走時經過一間唔起眼嘅細舖，見到枱面放咗部kindle,多口問下個女仔(個樣幾老實），佢話$1280,我問俾現金幾多，佢話$1150，哦！敢咪知自己買貴咗at least一百大元喇！哈哈，交學費囉！話時話，我都係第一次去灣仔電腦城，大香里兼成個水魚款。電腦嘢平時唔駛我攪，有大少打理，今次心急買kindle，咪順路出開灣仔同阿仔去買。

番屋企我又諗：有冇買錯舊款Paperwhite 呢？點解美國要9月30日先出，香港會咁快有呢？睇下張單，寫住kindle Paperwhite 6",wifi,2GB，origin unknown。但盒面寫住原裝正貨，香港保養。買完先咁多疑問，幾儍！

遲些若要買cover,都會上你講的福仁商場望下。灣仔間舖cover開價$290，太貴喇！保護貼就要$80。

終於攪掂咗，裝咗你講果個字典Eric's English chinese dictionary with CALD，唔該哂！

昨晚試咗一輪在PC裝kindle for PC,睇下有冇內置字典，但係都係冇，唔知點解？會否是認IP address,但又好似講唔通。或者搵日用第二部iPad 在另一個IP address試下，睇下有冇新發現。另外，上綱search下，都幾多人有唔見咗字典尼個問題。

Kindle paperwhite 是有 web browser，除在 Amazon 購書外，亦可在其他電子書網站下載電子書。不明 uninstall 所指是什麼？

早前 Kindle DX 減到189, 我終於忍唔住買咗部。

睇 pdf 好好，唔慢，啲字嘅 contrast 同細機亦無分別；不過有啲 kindle 書唔 support！
中文書可以scan as pdf 放入去睇，不用再左轉右轉，都不用怕字體太細。
我 jailbreak 咗，加咗 fonts 就可以睇中文，wallpaper 亦改為放大了的樂譜，方便埋練樂器。
其他用處尚在發掘中⋯
