真是大快人心。我醫院的CP CALL 了KLN CENTRAL 那個雖CP 給我仔造的IQ 報告﹐還比看了全部的分數﹐知清楚D﹐現在我比較安心拉。 (verbal 106 +/-6, non-verbal 90+/-6)

如果看IQ分數，你孩子好正常呀！只是不屬於聰明一類吧了。又不是自閉，那還有什麼問題呢？Congratulations!你決定了讓他讀那間學校了嗎？4月份的dinner gathering來不來呀？

各位好 ,

想請教一下, 那裡可以幫小朋友做評估 ? 小女現時 25 個月 , 只講好小說話 , 但系完全明白我地叫佢做0既野 ,  2歲時已回健康院見過醫生, 整個過程不足 10 分鐘 , 小女只講過 " 魚魚 " 2 個字 (因佢鐘意食), 最後醫生話佢有講野0既意欲 , 有 eye contact , 應無問題....... 不過我地仍然會幫你跟 ... 你半年後再打電話返來約期啦...

除了健康院，還可以請私家醫生(任何一個)寫轉介信到兒童體能及智力測驗中心(CAC)。請你告訴我你家在哪一區，我可以告訴你CAC的電話號碼。

Dear ALAL,
If my child has similar IQ score as yours, I will be very very 安心.  I am very anxious right now.  He has heavy metal problem..... Have good sleep and reserve more energy for P.1 study.

Dear Mrs Ng and Mrs Cheung,
Thank you for your encouragement. It is very precious for mothers of special children. I am not an optimistic person. IQ score cannot reflect the attention and memory problem, which would be formally assessed when my son is near 7. His problem cannot be trully reflected by one to one assessement. But it is also shown in P1 preparation class. Anyway the score makes me feel better.

I will try to join the gathering. Pl pm the details to me. But my health is not very good lately(insomnia). But I will try my best to come.

Mrs Ng, music school does not make offer to my son. So no need to make more choice.

早產兒有語言發展遲緩的情況很普遍。兩歲前的發展必須以adjusted age計算，這與腦部發展有關。

孖女剛兩歲，還未能說長句子是很正常的﹗

對兩歲幼兒，基本要求是：
1. 有起碼50個詞彙，不用別人提示，能在適合的時間說出來，例如見到一件物件時說出名稱。
2. 開始將兩個詞語拼在一起，例如："飲水水"，"媽媽抱"等

如未能做到以上要求，則表示語言發展可能遲緩，請向醫生要求轉介言語治療師做評估。

我不知道孖胎一起成長是否對語言發展有幫助(似乎比較少這方面的研究)，但早產的影響可能比較大，所以我也曾替不少孖胎小朋友做治療。

The information of the gathering is from the forum, 祝各位小朋友快高長大，口齒伶俐，新年進步!  I am looking forward to seeing you.  

Your hard work on your son will be rewarded.  He will understand your love when he grows older.  Yesterday, my child told his class teacher that he felt very proud of himself when I praised him.  Our children will appreciate us sooner or later....

By the way, I also suffer from insomnia.  For the first six months that my son's problem was diagnosed, I  could not sleep for more than three hours every night.  Now, I still suffer from occasional insomnia.  My family doctor says that I am suffering from depression and gives me tranquillizer.  He says that many mums with special children suffer from depression or need counselling service.  I do not take any medicine.  I just try to get some [size=large]PERSONAL TIME TO TAKE A BREAK once a week.  I feel that if I put all my attention on my child, my child will feel the pressure and our relationship will be very very tense.   Try to relax.....
