My son is in K3 and will be promoting to P1. I want to know more about primary school life from existing parents.
Noted KCS is a traditional school, it is also amazing to know that they are using activity approach teaching method from their website. 本校一至六年級推行活動教學，使學生通過遊戲，實踐及活動，享受學習的樂趣。培養學生自發、自覺的精神，發揮他們的潛能 。Is that true?
They enjoyed school life. I know sometimes they will have game session to do role play. But as of 發揮潛能, I cannot really feel how they could do so....... cause their ECA is not as much viariety as the other school
Do your students still have pressure in school life, eg homework, passages memorizing, dictations, tests and exams?
They have no pressure on this, tests, dictations and passages memorizing are just like 吃生菜 , no stress
How do teachers support students?
They teacher so far is quite nice and willing to talk to the parents. They are willing and happy to talk to parents to discuss what they have noticed from the school. As my child or child from my classmates have no special issues, I have not heard anyone that need teachers additional support.
Do whole day students need to attend school on Saturday?
No
I think most of parents who choose KCS is because of PHT and also would like their kids to have a good foundation in Chinese and that serves the purpose. As compared with some of the local school, I mean like 聖米加，their academic standard is very good.
