Sometimes, the kids may be weak from visual space/perception which affect them to write or recognize letters. You can let him play more puzzles or Lego. They are great training. Start with an 8-piece or 9-piece puzzle first, then add more pieces later. Or ask your own Occupational Therapist for suggestions.
Talk to school teacher first and ask for her opinion and observation.
There is an early stage dyslexia assessment (1.5 hours, and really expensive) for kids who have finished their K2. The formal one should be done at the kids' primary 2 (or primary 1 ?). The assessment should be conducted by an educational psychologist or clinical psychologist. You can contact the biggest NGO for service. However, the result fm NGO or private cannot be used by gov't to withdraw your kid from the primary school entrance. |
