My daughter is a late joiner for proper phonics course since I didn't realise its importance until this summer holiday. (I myself had already taught her letter sound when she was K3) But I found her not intereted to read and have difficulties in spelling, so I send her to phonics course, and surprisingly after 3 months of study (still have 2 months to go), she is eager to read and able to spell. If your child is having similar problem, I am please to share. Cheers.
