I would like to enroll my kid to GSIS, though a bit late. Anyone can help to clarify the below which I found on the website:

Eng Kinder - Children must have turned 3 yrs of age by Sep 1 of the year of entry

Eng Primary Sch - Children must have turned 5 yrs of age by Sep 1 of the year of entry

So, if my kid is born in Dec 05, should I enroll her into K2 for the coming Sep in 2010 or Primary Year 1 for 2011? Does GSIS have any vacanies for outsider to join its Primary (Year 1) as there are only 2 classes for Year 1. Will GSIS only take all its kindergarten students and have only very very limited spaces for outsiders?

Is it too late to apply for K2 for 2010?

1/.  gsis is very strict in their age policy .. so if your
   kid is born in Dec 05 then he or she should
   apply for the k2 for term 2010-2011 but is
   too late now. The K2 interview has already
      been done in late Feb. So i think you should
   apply for the primary one for 2011-2012.
2/. for primary one they have 2 class of around
      25 each . But for their k2 they only have max
      20 each in each class. and some may also
      left during the term.. so i guess there is still
      chances for outsiders

I think you should apply to K2 of year 2010/2011. Vacancy comes up all the time. My daughter's class has students leaving and new students come in every couple of months so. It's not unusual for international school. The student population is very transient. You should not give up so soon yet.

Yes, if the kids do not choose to leave themselves. They go straight up to year 1.
