I bought one 2 years ago thru Amazon UK. I let them sent it to a London address so the delivery charge is free. I am sure if you do a search on the internet, there are lots of places selling in Hong Kong.

Well, I wld say Kindle is much better than I-phone, in terms of reading comfort. Not just because of the size of the screen, Kindle's screen (the prints as well) is not shinny and thus less stressful for your eyes.

This is true for iPhone because there aren't that many different models to choose from, but for Android phones, some of the models have screens that are pretty bright and sharp {:1_1:}

請問如果買英文介面是不是可以閱讀中文書的？還是一定需要安裝【多看】中文介面？中文書的ebook在何處可以買？謝謝！

Kindle is a lot better than iPad or iPhone in terms of reading comfort. Besides the light from the screen, the weight is also a factor you may need to consider.

Has anyone tried Kobo or Nook? How are they when compared to Kindle?

由2012書展到今曰，我使用Kindle只有大約三個月，還算是初哥一名，只能用這短短的經驗來作分享：

1. 在買Kindle 時，這本地分銷商說他們賣的Kindle 已作出—些本地化改動，所以可以看中文(其實日文也可以)。

2. 我在haodoo.net 拿到很多中文書放到Kindle 上。

3. 每早我用Calibre download 即日的報紙，本地的例如明報及一些海外報紙。

4. I have also dowloaded some free books from Amazon.

希望其外資深的Kindle 用家可以多作分享。

Hi A-Mum,

I did not convert anything. To have Ming Pao delivered to my Kindle:

1. Assuming Calibre has been installed and your Kindle account's email address has been setup already, start Calibre and click Fetch News.

2. On the Fetch News window, click Chinese to see the list of Chinese Newspaper. There you can see Ming Pao - Hong Kong. After clicking this entry for Ming Pao, it shows the schedule for download where we can select when we want the download to happen.

With the above setting, your computer will download Ming Pao as scheduled (assuming it's on and internet connection is available). The format of the downloaded Ming Pao is MOBI which can be processed and displayed by Kindle directly.

Yes. I bot the kindle becos that my eyes ached after looking at the smartphone for long.
Kindle is absolutely a much better e-book reader.
