My daughter got offer from ESF (Beacon Hill), SIS PY2 and CAIS offer, I am very struggled. Actually I prefer SIS but everyone told me SIS is a very harsh school. Please advise.

depend on where you live. if you are living in KLN side, CAIS and ESF would be more suitable. SIS is in quite far and if no school bus reaching to your home, it would be very tiring for both kids and adult to travel to SIS via public transportation.

different style of schools, pls tell us more what types of education you look for? academic? morality? overseas connection... and sibling priority req't...

Woo, I never think about it. In the beginning I choose IS instead of LS is because I want her to have her own life. My elder daughter studies in LS and she spends all her time to study, dictation and exam. By the way, I am sure looking for academic and morality. If there is a sibling priority, it is an advantage too. Then my elder daughter can have priority to study coz I am planning to apply IS for her when she is in secondary.

I guess, for SIS, even it's tougher / toughest in IS, it's still easier comparing with LS. Probably you should search more old posts around SIS workload, to understand it more specific rather than from generic comments. It's an important decision for your kid and your family.

Also need to consider traditional / simplified Chinese if you have concern, curriculum (e.g. CAIS is AP), etc. Don't forget about cost e.g. increased fees for ESF, increased debenture for CAIS...

Do you have any idea about the increased fee of ESF? I just know that the Capital Levy changed from refundable of HK$25,000 to non-refundable of HK$38,000 for year 1. Do you know another increasement in future year?

I cannot comment on that, since my boy has yet to study in SIS. However why jump to conclusion before even trying. In fact the feedbacks I received from parents whose kid(s) is/ are at different levels of SIS are very different. Every parent's expectation is different and the kid's ability also contributes greatly. If you like SIS in the first place, there must be a good reason behind it.

輕鬆定催谷，真係好睇家長的期望和同什麼學校比較。如果你和小學完全無考試的IS比，SIS係較煩較多事；但你和local名小比，係好輕鬆，有讀local的家長，聽我講完小朋友d安排，話「咁都好得閒wor」。

讀到上去，要出色，讀間間都要比心機，要勤奮。讀IS的，有機會讀得比較享受，自己笑著給力，樂在其中。

yes, I like the atmosphere of SIS because the students are more discipline. My daughter is quite quiet, I think SIS is suitable for her.

If you get in 2015/16, you still enjoy subsidy by the government so the school fee is expected to be increased around 5-8% each year.
Btw your daughter must be very bright as PY2 at SIS is not a mass intake.

IS kindy usually ends at K2 and go to primary after. Hence , K3 usually refer to grade 1.
