"Utilizing resources" sounds no good to me.  I am afraid that the teachers would have higher workload affecting the quality of teaching.  Your view?
Any insiders' news?

Really? If they do not lay off teachers, I suppose the resources per student are the same.

I still cannot visualize how good this idea would be.

Are you the parents of KJS or KGV?
School arranged several consultation sessions for parents about the Kowloon learning campus, why didn't you raise your concerns there instead of asking here?

I do think that quality of teaching is always the highest concern. If quality will be affected, why would ESF want to make this change?

I'm not a current parent of KJS nor KGV. I've just seen this news from scmp.

That is normal. ESF will loose subsidy from government. There will only be more actions to minimize costs. Glad my kid is graduating soon....

I don't think it will minimize the cost. In fact, more senior posts will be creating and hence more expenses will be created.
So called "sharing resources" means sharing the swimming pool in KGV or sharing the library, multimedia centre, science lab. for primary students once or twice per year?
It will be fun to have extra "field trip" but is it worthy to create some more senior post?

Big school Vs small school scenario. There isn't going to be a simple good or bad answer. It depends on many factors that are changing over time.

But some basic premise won't change. Big schools are more efficient in using resources. For example, share libraries or swimming pools as long as they are not already fully used. However, being efficient is not the same as being "effective".  Small schools are more flexible and "personal", everyone knows everyone else. Small schools typically has faster decision making and more streamline management processes.  Small schools allows more freedom in heir approaches to education.
