我的兒子是沒有自覺力和缺乏主動，所以我花多些時間在管教，不要擔心功課內容，入讀 SFXC 很適合小兒。學校對學生有要求是好事！

我不知道你有甚麽其它需要學校協助，我相信你能主動跟班主任溝通，或會得到幫助。
若果你是指學生個人問題(猜測)，必須家校合作，而且中一至中三是青少年反叛期，不可倚賴學校呀。

哦！你指是功課上，但這是中學的普遍現像，記得我在6、70年代讀中學時已是這樣，而且據我所知大多名校都是咁。
就是這樣，家長對小朋友的monitor便quite important！以前學生多，家庭成員多，大多在貧困環境中長大、競爭，他們學會自主性。若果倚重學校，會死得人多。特別是現今大多男生，不給壓力是不行的。本區另一間 band one boy school 成績大跌，我想 this is one of the reasons.
In SFXC  a test is given in every cycle. It is a way to guide students work harder.But it is useless as students and parents ignore these test.By the way ，your point is not completely wrong, But I will force my son to do better myself.

There are two classmasters each class in SFXC .I have already contacted them at least four times  last year.

Once I found the subject teacher made a big mistake, she gave a wrong mark to my son. I discussed with her and knew more the performance of my son by telephone. She was nice and willing to be contacted any time(assumed they are free at the moment).

但老師心怎麼想我不知道，但 as a parent of my son,
i have right to know his performance in school.

once, I dated and picked  my son after school, I went to school and stayed inside near the school football playground to wait my son, there was a football competition . I found two Misses led their own classmates  crying with loud voice to encourage their football players . The students  really enjoyed and the relationship between them were good.

I absolutely agree to use 幼稚 to describe present students. My son learning ability is good but not best, but his EQ is low behind very very ..............
disappointed.

I wish all students  can enjoy their shool lives of six yearsi n SFXC.

I didnt mention both teachers are good, actually one of them got stroke and took a long sick leave, but the other one Miss is nice, my boy studied in 2R and promote to F.3 next year.

Moreover, the principal is good too, I have chatted with him several times, but it seems he is gonna retire this year.

learning diversities is common in band one school,  I do not go through this report, but it may point out the problems in this school.

whatever problems the school faces or whatever schemes it is going to carry out , i will not expect a great help and change to students. As far as i know, the important factor is the student himself, my friends who are teachers in other secondary sch suggest me to pay attention to his behaviour change and appraise him more, or may be one day my son becomes aware of what is good to him, he will paint his future picture on his own.At that day he may start turbo reading books by his own.

what i can do is to monitor him, to set target next year, spend time to enjoy school lives(not just playing online game at home). Anyway , i still believe that school or teachers are only helpers, if the student gets no sense of change,  we can do nothing except stay and support behind him when he gets hurts.

To me, SFXC is a good sch, my son tells me he  still likes reading right there. Nicholasmom , you are a  good mother, it seems you are eager to know this school deeply. You know, if school may improve faster whenever there are good parents.

雖然我不是成功的父親，而且仍找法子去引導小兒，不過本身亦有點愚見要舒發：現今的教育發展好像對一些內向形男孩不利 -

1. 男生語言發展或學習較女孩慢。
2. 男生多喜愛電腦遊戲，特別內向形的同學，欠缺多一些互 動活動，亦間接形響語言表達能力。(宅男的形成？)

這會對 eng language, chinese language , both oral exams, liberal study 不利。

SFXC is a EMI boys sch, F.1 student 該針對以上問題及早改善，但不可倚賴學校。
1.鼓勵參加課外活動。
2.參予群體活動，以曠濶視野，有女性參予更好。(我常鼓勵小兒星期日到教會，my wife is a christian but i am not)
3.多看英文書籍。
4.盡早適應學校生活，了解學校要求。

我相信大多家長都一早知道教導的方法，而且以上四點都是老生常談；不過本人近期空閒時間多了，被小兒激少咗(苟延殘喘)，才抽空舒發謬見。

最近看了 SFXC 的校友許冠傑 "人生多麼好"片集，其中一部份片段是在他母校拍攝的；即有感現今學生讀書是為理想而奮鬥或為黃金屋(豪宅)而戰！

別人家裡怎樣教小朋友，說實話，外人很難協助，就算你找社工(衹是舉例，不過有好過無)，她衹能給予簡單意見，而且家中成員多少 或 你與小孩關係怎樣都會影響管教模式。你所遇到的困境，不單止你一人，相信很多香港父母都面對這情況，衹感有點無奈:cry: ！

但我在這裡也分享暑假怎樣跟小兒約法三章，才容許他打機的經驗：
1. attend swimming course 4 hours a week
2. read his english books or newspaper an hour a day.
3. do some maths execises for the coming year syllabus, different topic a week.
4. play online games not more than 3 hours a day
5. break these rules will lead to prohibition of playing games again. No objection.

小兒全盤接受，這個暑假就是這樣相安無事地過去，雖然說不上很充實，但他的運動量和讀書時間比上學時還多。

但我要强調這是分享，並非教導。
明天開學了，又要跟他「約法」，真傷腦筋 ！

如果小兒真心投入於活動或讀書，即甘心 follow my instructions, 對他在學校該有幫助，可惜他祇在我高壓下跟從，效果大打折扣。即我提到他EQ徧低，他會明白讀書的重要，但要他改變懶惰被動的性格，真的要等他醒，我能夠做的已做了，日後會如何，天曉知！

絕對100% 認同 anma 的看法，但我們跟你們有點不同，囝囝是把 SFXC 放在第一志願。

我兒子遺傳我的特質，對繪畫美術、音樂藝術等毫不感興趣，幸好他除了打機外，還會主動游水，總算有樣健康的活動。所以非常羨慕你們囝囝有如此天賦。

三四十年前的「濟記」，學生大多放學後留在校園或到對開球場踢波。因為所收的學生大多來自貧困家庭，所以大部分學生都是獨孤一味的活動－－－踢波。因此球場上同一時間有幾個波踢來踢去是很平常，但現今這情況已不覆見，學校活動亦更多元化了。

中文確是最難掌握的一科，小兒亦碰上此問題，sfxc 過去兩年開學後會跟家長開 form meeting，討論今年該 form 須關注的事項，可借此機會請教老師或校長。但我知道校內正忙於籌備十月尾的 open day，會不會取消或延期就不得而知。

但語言大多要操練，但坊間很難找到好的練習，真頭痛！雖然我知道講完等於無講，但好過唔講。

曾於 sfxc 50週年入內參觀,表演非常精彩,我想今年 55週年應該不會差吧!而且兩日節目都不同,不要錯過呀.

兩日 open day 已完結，多謝家教會義工所提供的食物，yummy ...... yummy..... 。

童軍組的攀爬活動很好玩。

樂隊演奏很好聽。

武打巨星李小龍與修士(Brother)的合照極具懷念價值，而且是黑白照，懷舊味道甚濃。

Hello mar123, it is the inter-school swimming  championships.
this may be the last time you have sent out this message before, as there was no announcement in school, I did not make any feedback at that moment.
I found it in school website right today.

My son swims 4 hours everyweek with his schoolmate, I wish he could join the school team in the future.
