Would like to transfer my girl to VSA, please help. THANK YOU VERY MUCH

Please advise, since I would like to transfer my girl from traditional local school to here,

1. Is the IB system running smooth?

2. How about the Chinese standard? I heard about that the it is similar to the local school,  any dictation or test ?

3. How about the English standard? is it similar to the international school? any dictation or test? would they need to read more books by assignment?

4. How about the Maths standard? is it easier that the local school? would they cover all the topic of the text book?

Since my girl studies at the traditional local school, and even how she studies hard, still can't go to the middle of the whole grade,  and her confidence starts to fall, also she always says that she is not good and smart in the competitive environment, in return she starts to talk less, I m so worried about,  I want to change her to different educational system to study, I DO HOPE SOMEONE CAN GIVE ME SOME ADVICE OF THIS SCHOOL

I understand that your kid is studying in grade 4 (presumably P.4) from other BK forum.  My son is studying in P.2, so I can tell you the case for P.2.

Q.1 - As a parent, it is difficult to answer, the school may give you a better answer.  I note that they are changing the assessment and reporting this year so as to tie in with the IBO requirement.  
Q.2 - The school prepares own textbooks and exercises, which mainly follow the Mainland system (of course a bit easier).  Putonghua is used as the medium of teaching.  Dictation is required about once every two weeks.  I never compare it with the local schools.  My opinion is that it is challenging.
Q.3 -  There is a big variation amongst students, depending much on the family support.   On average, the students are not as goods as those studying in international schools.  Spelling test once every week.  It is easy and my son just uses 10 minutes for the preparation each time.  In general, students are required to read books everyday.  Some assignment may be arranged related to the reading, depending on the teacher.
Q.4 - The way of teaching Maths is different from that in local school, more similar to that in international school.  We don't have textbooks, and they use everyday examples to teach.

Any plan for secondary school?

My daughter is now 3 yrs old and studying at an international for nusery, we got an offer from Victoria Kindergarten ENG / PTA, i know Victoria Primary is ok but secondary section seems very messy and many bad comments.

Any suggestions?

Happy learning and happy school is 深入民心 for Victoria. I buy for happy life for kinder.
But for primary and secondary school, u must think twice as u gradually find a gap with local school. I know that some can't cope with local school pressure then go to IS like Victoria , Isf but nOt common from IS to local school especially after P4.
But one important thing is whether u have plan and resource to let children studying overseas is critical factor for considering Victoria , ISF or not

1.若果我的堂哥的家庭中文水平不錯,因為他們兩夫婦都是在高中的中國文學不錯,而堂哥是港人但用普通話教中文。根據之前看到的網頁D家長說學生的說聽英文好native,但寫就多grammer/spelling錯,是真嗎?是相比local school/ IS?
2.因堂哥沒請菲,老人家湊,不多說英文的,咁佢想小朋友將來說好D, 要寫得好,就趁學校功課不多,叫佢狂看圖書及寫下日記,是否OK呢?
3.是否全部英文科由鬼/ABC教呢?每日多少個鐘?課程是怎樣的?用什麼教材?
4.另外,看以上中文的課程/練習好似有好多保存中國文化的內容,好似不錯,不 知是否由小一開始?量多嗎?D小朋友說普通話OK嗎?小息時/EVENT,D學生用什麼話多?
5.有些人說小朋友讀到小三都不懂X/除數,又話2/3練習到學期尾都未做過,是真嗎?
6.若咁誇張,不明白為何這麼多人用這麼多錢讀。
7.若想小朋友在黃金時間練好三文兩語,之後想轉回LOCAL中上上的學校,為什麼難?怎可以容易D?若中上上的學校見其英普說得下,平時在家給小朋友練習,都應該不太差吧,咁樣是否容易在小四時LOCAL插班呢?還是在中學自行派位時選BAND2頭資助學校IN呢,因IN時好學校只看IN時的英文和對時事的認識呢?
