I don't remember exactly, but Oct does not have 2weeks holiday. KCIS does not really follow school  ...

so good that not so many homework per week
all the children can enjoy play~~~~~

原全正正就係咁
swck校車唔到我家
要我去其他地方上車
而kcis就有巴士去到北角
有好幾方面令我不得不放棄swck
老公佢好鍾意swck...但現實就係咁

Is your kid  now in KG or Reception?  Mine is in KG.  My parents' session has been schedu ...

My boy is in Reception class. The time slot for Chinese is 1pm-1:45pm. While the ability of two groups differ, the program itself does not have huge difference. But, teachers have higher expectations/treatment for the higher level group.

1. 開心咁接受KCIS, 唔好再諗有幾鐘意swck
2. 讀SWCK, 讀完K 再轉 KCIS / local schools ( I remember you said you will considere local primary too?)
其實 KCIS 真係好抵讀, 當然響某d 地方(如campus, facilities, 又或者你所需要既religious education)就要trade off, 咁你都要有定心理準備, 唔係我估你打後幾年會成日諗番如果喺SWCK就點好點好咁就無謂...

我都好開心kcis有offer
因為kcis primary既學費好合理, 而我地供得亦會冇咁辛苦 (仲可以睇下有冇機會生多個)
swck我最buy就係個宗教, 其他既野對我來講都同kcis差唔多
而以我唔駛為左升小學而煩惱, 我最少呢2年唔駛咁緊張
亦唔駛另外搵人去補中文
所以我都勸服左我老公了

以家我要問下學校, 堅尼地城有冇校車到kcis
睇website就冇
同埋我想幫亞女轉am班
但今年9月就應該冇咩機會了

KCIS校車安排, 我就有過痛苦經歷.  我係住西半山o既, KCIS提供o既校車雖然會到我o個頭, 但就成日都好遲, 每一日阿仔最起碼都要遲20分鐘, 我覺得好唔合理.  同學校反映, 又不得要領, 因為學校要就埋KCS學生.  我地當然覺得好唔合理, 但都無辦法.  最後我幫阿仔轉o左撘保母車, 服務好又準時, 又有人帶阿仔入到班房, 放學有人到班房接去保母車度.  同KCIS校車價錢差唔多, 又唔會遲到, 你可以考慮下.  舒太 9239 9340

係
係我都幾擔心個時
上帝就安排左kcis offer俾我地
雖然學校冇左宗教
但我相信上帝會另有安排
我個application no係大約70(未計優先, 計左可能over 100)
我有朋友係11x(未計優先)都有得in(不過佢冇去,個仔病左)
但唔知係唔係全部人都take offer
如果有位, 3月會再約
即係如果小朋友係100以內既
都有幾會入到kcis既

My boy's classmates are native English speakers, some are native mainlanders. Kids in KCIS are hard-working but happy. I visited CIS recently . The school principal made a very good presentation. The head boy and girl made their presentation in English and  Mandarin . nice auditorium , more manpower (head of admission , communication manager, and other staff in admission office) . But, the tuition fee doubles that of KCIS.

Ann0805 : May I ask if it's difficult to get into KCIS after going to SWCK? Did your boy join the Reception Class? or Primary 1? I like SWCK so much and, if possible, I wish to put him in SWCK for at least two years before switching to other schools...

Actually, my boy only studied in SWCK for half a term before switching to KCIS.  These days, competition for international school places is so keen that I think it is quite risky for you to let the child to stay with SWCK for two years before switching to other international schools.  The best arrangement would be to let your child take the assessment test/interviews at the entrance level of the international schools that you like.  Having said all these, I would still say SWCK is a very good school and indeed the school that we like most.  If there had been no worries about discontinuity after primary at ICA, we would have chosen SWCK-ICA route instead of letting our boy switching to KCIS, largely due to our religious background and the quality of education at SWCK.

唔同o架, 好似KCS早過KCIS小小, 起碼下午班就係.  總之, 好怪.  校車一定要就埋KCS, 可能因為資源問題啦, 校車o係o禁多架就o禁多架, 一架要一日走幾轉, 住得近都好D, 好似我地o禁住西區, 撘校把一定遲大到.  開學初時好離譜, 遲45分鐘先到, 我知道D線同F線都有同一問題.  撘其他線o既KCIS學生都會遲, 不過無遲得o禁離譜law!

So, it's nearly impossible to get into KCIS primary if one is not from KCIS kindergarten? My boy is physically challenged and I like SWCK so much because I believe they can offer love and care for my boy. Besides, I hope that kids nurtured by them will be more willing to accept peers who are different from them. I've been stuggling between (1) loving and caring environment and (2) secured primary & secondary route. It's really difficult to be parents.
