Dear all mummies,

My little daughter has 耳積水.  She has feed medicine around
2 weeks.  That doctor said that if she has no good progress.  Then
she need to surgery(抽去耳積水 ).  We don't want have any
operation on my daughter, but also afraid her ear to be worst.  
We also afraid no time to be waste for her ear become more bad.


So that could any mummies know this disease and introduce
specialtly doctor for us ?

你女女幾大?其實都唔駛太擔心,你之前睇的醫生是否專科?因為小朋友呢d case都常見!

我仔仔都試過耳積水, 但佢無食藥, 自己好番, 一定要做手術嗎?

Thank you for your pm information and reply.
Sorry for late reply as I was busy to take care both childs.
My daughter is 4-1/2 yrs old and she visited 浸會
Hospital 耳專科.  She already treated almost 2weeks.  
Tomorrow we will go to doctor again.   

I and husband reviewed websit above this disease
which can be recovered by natural(not exactly).  But we
review our daughter that she asksd many questions as
she can't hear clear.  By the way, we don't want any operation on her.

Could you share your experienced, thanks  a lot.

You can try to consult Dr Hui Yau, 28689333.  He is an expert in 耳鼻專科 and he has been the professor at HKU and senior dr at Queen Mary hospital.  I took my son to his clinic last Thursay.  The doctor is very kind and he could find out the reason for my son's running nose.  My son has got  "鼻豆炎" but I have never noticed this before.  It is so lucky that we consulted him last Thursday or my son's "鼻豆炎" will not be treated.

It is quite expensive, $800-1000.  But it worth!

我識一個五歲小朋友中耳炎兼耳有積水，先吃了兩星期類固醇，唔好要做手術長時期放條管入耳放水．

Hello, My son has also suffered from middle ear infection with water retention last year.  We took him to see our family doctor and Ear,Nose,Throat specialist Dr. 余永傑 in Central (Tel 25211179).  He has to take a course of antibiotics and it took over one month for the water to go away naturally. There is no need to do surgery.  We also have the doctors to write us two notes to refer him to Queen Mary Hospital to do hearing test and have check ups to make sure his hearing level returns to normal after this illness.


When washing hair, avoid water getting into the ear. Don't let her go swimming for a few months.  When she has a cold/runny nose, have it treated immediately to avoid ear infection to happen again.

Dear gab,

Thank you so much your valuable information and kindly
suggestion.   

On last Friday, my daughter visited same doctor.  He
found her that one ear still with 耳積水 same condition  
and the other one to be little bit good improve.  
Moreover, he found that she had 淋巴增值體 problem.  
Finally he gave her the other antibiotics and re-check after  2 weeks.
Do you know how to treat 淋巴增值體?    
In this period, my kid always bad manner on little things.  It is so
trouble!!  May be this sick, let her like this????
