入SC前有冇比BB讀N1? 如有, 請分享一下由邊度的N1轉入SC. 多謝.

I highly recommended to let the child attending Pre-Nursery.  They can learn to communicate with other kids/sharing toys/lining up, etc..... which is different to teach by an adult.

Both of my 2 kids are studying in SC, they spent their PN in an ordinary estate kindergarten in TKO, as my selection criteria are only.....

1.  Must close to my home, can walk to it and no need to use umbrella if it is raining.  (As 2-yrs old kid not suitable to take school bus...)

2.  Have native speaker to teach English.

I believe they can't learn too much from school at this infant stage, from which kindergarten doesn't matter.

The interviewer cares whether you are cooperative, willing to put effort on the child, the relationship with the child, etc........

Dear Heiyingleefamil,

Fully agree with you. I prepared to let me daughter to join a international KG for PN course from 2. The KG can offer my daughter a perfect English medium and creative environment to learn and play with peer.

Do you think to join a N1 class at an international KG gets higher chance than the tranditional one?

If you plan to apply for international stream --> International PN is a must..  Otherwise, it doesn't matter, as you can choose whether you interviewed in English or Cantonese, if you choose Cantonese, no question will be asked in English.  My 2 kids not studied in international PN before that.  (As I just choose Eng/Cantonese class)

I believe PTH/Eng more popular, but because it has less class, it is risky to choose.

Around 20 K1 classes (10 for am, 10 for pm) per year? At most 600 K1 pupils only.

4 classes at Norfolk campus.  Besides, the PTH/Eng class is quite new (just started to have these classes 2 year ago?)  I suppose there is a resources/ Mandarin teachers limitations.  SC said these classes are supposed for those children who has at least a parent who can speak PTH.

I know a kids was applied the PTU/ENG class, and finally accepted by the ENG/CHI class, as her mother told that her kids didn't know the PTU during the interview

小女前年入SC英普班，當時用三種語言interview，首先廣東話問日常間單問題，再用英文問顏色、形狀，最後往普通話老師處，老師用普通話叫佢唱歌，當時姐姐剛朗誦比賽，他將此兒歌唸出來，接着老師問我在家是否能用普通話教她，我說我会請老師回來教她，我自己不会亂教，最後亦入了，我記得當時申請表是有得揀若入不了英普可考慮英中，入不了上午可下午.....類似的選擇

Yes, life is harder and harder.
From my experience, the PTH interview did not expect kid to answer much in PTH but at least understand PTH (that's why some parents select ENG/PTH as language for their baby's N1 class)
However, in that interview, the PTH teacher will talk in PTH with the mum/dad.  So has to demonstrate that the family can support the PTH teaching.
