concerning banding of TSL, there is a nos of rumors..

1. 80% of graduates going to 1st choice/EMI
2. Many of the graduates going to good second school, most of them are band 1 school (one of the escort in the open day told me, but how many?!!)
3. most of the graduates achieved band 1, while the % is yet to know....
4. about 4X% of the graduates achieved band 1, hence TSL is just a band 2 school... (the famous Mr. Chiu told in a seminar, while he knows well there is no banding for schools)

actually, the above rumor is telling the facts about diff conceptions, e.g. % to go 1st choice does not mean the % of band 1, and some of them are actually contradicting...

could auntie siu or other intellectual ones tell me the % of band one of TSL... there is no official stats on TSL web.

好...講返正題, 有關陳守仁升中入學資料, 學校有post出黎架, 我copy條link比你睇:

2009-10年升中

2010-11升中

2011-12升中

我地連人數都upload埋出黎, 唔會好似某d學校咁"升中首三志願率" 或 "派往以下學校" 但又唔出人數。所有資料都是公開的! 至於你文中所提"famous mr. chiu" 是否意指"趙榮德"? 我冇睇佢講野好耐...因為我個人覺得佢有d outdate! 多d蒲bk, 大把update資料+第一身資料呢!

我今年好有心機將過往3年升中派位的人數, 打黎excel, 對照bk一個高人khmama既中學banding, 我見有大約110人左右係去band 1的。我有一個post, 都整理左2012年升中既band 1人數及學校, copy埋呢度比你睇, 有咩仲想知仲想問, 隨時出聲呀!

2012年全級158人,
BAND 1A 學校共有47人
BAND 1B 學校共有17人
BAND 1C 學校共有46人
合共110人 , 即69.6% 入BAND 1中學。入1A比例佔BAND 1學生42.7%。

many tks for your info...

while the effort of khmama is appreciate, it doesn't really make to rate the banding of a dss or private school... cuz there is only banding for primary students, not a school... there are secondary schools admit higher % of band 1 students, but no official stats of those school announced yet...

did tsl disclose the overall % of banding of the graduates...

one more q, do u think disciplines of tsl student is a concern, in particular for boys?! i did ask this q to the escort, she (yes, a gal) just giggled and skipped the q (said "ng hai geh") ... i also heard a mum in a seminar, she had been a reliever for teachers of a nos of schools, she said the students of tsl are very naughty... (meanwhile she praised the students of st. mary are very well manner and polite)...

i know there are a nos of s.asia kids studying in tsl (also in that area..) ... do u feel any behavior issues that your kids may have learned from their classmates?

btw, in the open day, i did see a few posters of the graduates who excel in sports and went to elite school... for those kids went to top schools, did they acquire very top sports achievement, how did they perform academically in tsl.

just wondering...

我覺得ok唔係好naughty啦! 百厭頑皮跳跳扎都有架。不過我就唔覺係外藉小朋友唔乖定中國藉小朋友唔乖啦! 反正學校收生係備向主動活潑型, 我兩個小朋友都口多多, 扎扎跳, 但長輩們都冇話佢地唔乖, 仲話佢地聽話喎! 反之其他人視之為乖, 又未必夠主動呢! (我一個仔, 一個女, 兩個都係咁架! 冇話特別男仔呀!)
所以呢d 每個人把尺唔同, 可能我地family 寬鬆d, 你朋友嚴肅d咁掛?!

至於學校banding, 佢地應該唔可以同家長講掛? 因為我睇公海, 佢地其他學校都係咁講, 所以我冇問過呀! 亦都冇聽過老師講! 其實我覺得睇升中數字都夠啦!

我識一個, 佢真係好勁, 文又得武又得! 已知有名校收左佢讀中學了! 戥佢地好開心呀! (有d 已經畢業好幾年, 我識家長唔多)

講開呢d poster.....我呀仔呀女sports唔得, 都唔洗旨意有份...不過如果他日學校肯轉幾張maths award 呀, verses speaking 呀之類果d, 我兩個小朋友都可以定下目標呢! 哈哈!
(又或者攞呢類型既獎會比人覺得讀到書多d?!)

agree with Si a ye....naughty 既唔係學校問題喎。我個女讀Ｐ１個個見親佢都問佢讀邊間小學，讚佢英文好又 caring！佢都扎扎跳又口多多, 同 Slivia一樣長輩們都有讚佢唔怕醜好like.

其實都有學校公布 banding %,

banding 反映在區內的水平，譬如住區外轉區，考區外較好的津校，如學校banding 不夠，可能會跌banding 的

兒子也是活躍型，考上K1,呢兩年要睇下邊d 學校啱佢。。。

其實都有學校公布 banding %,

公海 = 小一選校那邊
至於公佈banding, 教育署係唔比架! 我諗冇邊間學校敢大大聲講呢, 頂多同小朋友傾升中時, 講少少小朋友目前係band 幾。再者, 學校係冇banding, 只有小朋友先有banding。所以只可以話該校屬band 1/2/3有大約幾多人咁囉。

至於陳守仁係油尖旺校網, 全港屬強區, 所以去第二度應唔會有跌band 危險。邊緣人去其他弱區, 更有升band的可能。

對！其實所為banding, 以我估計都是由入U率，計出band 1中學，再由小學計入band 1 中學率而推算的。學校自己不能自吹，所以好多學校都post 自己的學生入邊啲名校。

呢個我諗誤會左啦... 你講既係坊間的理解...

正式泥講, 係只有band one 小學生, 無band one 學校, 學校係無banding 架... 以入U率推算, 係掉轉頭想法...
banding 係以區內學生百份比區分, 最top 的固定百份比定為band one, 再跟據區內學校tsa的成績, 決定學校在區的相對水平, 所以學校學生達到band one, two 的%, 顯示學校在區內的水準...

坊間所謂的band one中學, 只是收多少band one 學生(只有小學生有banding)... 這個是沒有公開的...

如果2010年那位家長說學校有30% BAND 3, 那便看那年的數據吧!

如果用一些RUMOR再問同一個問題，我都只係比返同一個答案你。事實就係事實，學校有既係公開的數據。最大質疑亦只係考入的學校，是否界定為BAND 1。

考中學除左大抽獎外，自行及叩門均睇埋操行。如果那位家長冇學校肯收，點解唔睇下自己小朋友有咩問題? NPL都可以收咁多個TSL, 為何獨不收佢果個呢又?!

嗯, 這個我是看到的... 但這個是, 如另一位網友提及, 以入U率推算學校BAND幾 (其實中學係無分BANDING的), 再推定入所講BAND X學校就是BAND X 學生(其實同校可以收不同BANDING 學生), 咁樣計分不清學校畢業生BANDING的分佈的..

校網內公佈的學校, 確實是有一些比較具競爭力的...

唔緊要, 比一個post你睇, 呢位媽咪好用心咁睇哂18區中學最後兩年會考成績去分學校屬band 幾, 分析及界定原因都有講過下, 可以睇下佢數據先!

講真, band 1學校冇必要收一個band 3學生, 反之一個band 1學生亦都唔會走去考間band 3學校, right? (特異功能位band 1學校都唔可以預留太多, 會影響整體公開試成績)

考中學呢家野, 都係竹門對竹門, 木門對木門既。
