回覆:International Kindergarten

1. Int'l kindergartens with IB PYP means they are authorized by the IBO to run this program, instead of a curriculum, it's only a teaching approach/ framework, the school has to follow certain guidelines provided by the IBO when teaching, so what children learn will be decided by the school. If you are targeting IB primary schools later, IB kindergarten would be a good stepping stone to better prepare your child for the later challenges in primary school.
2. Local kindergarten providing int'l stream means they use English as the medium of instructions and teach Chinese in Mandarin. Not all, but some of them adopt foreign curriculum such EYFS from the UK. These kindergartens got a large proportion of local children, many of them are targeting DSS or private schools, and these primary schools usually require children to have a certain level of English skills, therefore some parents send their children to int'l streams of local kindergarten to better prepare them for primary school.
3. Int'l kindergarten with bilingual stream means the school provides equal immersion of English and Mandarin to children. As it's an int'l kindergarten, the school adopts foreign curriculum and usually got a higher proportion of foreign children. The majority of them are targeting int'l primary schools instead of local schools, therefore when comparing to int'l stream in local kindergartens, the Chinese standard in 'real' int'l kindergartens are usually lower.
