我都係咁睇，我識得個朋友嘅女讀這科，明年畢業，又話唔想做，又話要讀商科，真係浪費金錢青春。一早讀BBA，Finance 或者Accounting，就簡單直接。

調查機構係關於學貸，他們考慮學生還款能力，所以要考慮以下因素：

1。入息中位數，係年薪；
2。失業率也很重要，人工高失業率高，也會排名較後；
3。是否有advanced degree才可以入職？即前期學歷投資也會增加。

我覺得數字不一定準確，但我有興趣了解先後次序排列，而STEM在美國係贏條街，不是香港的前列，真係各村鄉村各處例。

今时今日都米话唔為d细路担心, 如果佢地出泥時得USD 100k一年, after tax得番50k, 即每月得4k多d, 但交租能已交了3k, 剩番重夠唔夠食飯同坐巴士(買車唔洗冧)...
我地果时,同呀爸呀妈住, 真係慳番一大舊錢... 睇泥都係好似大陸咁, 埋代都係靠呀爸呀媽養同買樓结分...

分享一下我兒情況, 數字可作參考.

2017畢業, major Stat minor Computer Science. 第一份工, 年薪USD82,000. 當年聽說, major CS的, 年薪起點大概9至10萬美元, 做ibank的年薪起點約11萬美元.

第一份工, 做了約15個月, 轉投另一公司, 前後兩間公司都是S&P 100內企業. 在第二間工作五年多期間內表現優異, bonus較多, 最主要升上管理層後, 年薪升幅較大.

今年夏天, 轉投第三間公司. 離職時的年薪(含bonus)是25萬. 所以剛好七年時間, 年薪是他大學畢業後剛投入職場時的三倍. 但聽他說, 他認識major CS一直在加州矽谷工作的的同學, 比他早一年多前已逹年薪25萬.

第三份工作, 公司規模較少, 年薪只比之前公司略升, 但有給股票, 每年15萬元, 但這些股票有甚麼限制最後實質會值多少我就不知道了.

STEM行業, 在美國, 暫時仍然維持高薪, 我仔都只係得bachelor degree. 他說暫時仍沒計劃讀master, 說他這一行工作能力及經驗優先.

如果係fresh graduate 我認為可以，很多都係先苦後甜，兒子在香港第一年都係年薪二十萬多少少，有兩個月花紅在內，月薪只有萬四多一點，所以他一直發展second income。

還好住在父母家包食包住，每年加薪幅度都好大，如果兩年後肯跳槽，可以跳升一倍左右，他還是選擇留下來學嘢，到升Manager就係比畢業升了幾倍，他肯跳槽會加得更快。

我哋好樂意他同我哋一齊住，到第二年問過會否搬出去住，返工近好多，他願意辛苦啲，陪下我哋。

多謝你的分享，一如既往你講得好細緻，我答應過兒子保留一些私隱，所以不能像你暢所欲言，特別在人工及第二、三種收入。

個別年輕人覺得醫生，科技，金融人工高都係打份工，雖然已經係穩陣高薪，但花無百日紅，要思考及部處多一點。

你兒子適當地轉工，我的就較稳定，我都知道他肯跳，人工真係你的描述三級跳。我哋冇乜意見，讓他自己決定。現在肯去倫敦投行加3-5成，入fintech 公司人工低於投行，不過就多咗股票，將來上市就提早退休，跟你兒子一樣。現在時間點，他還是想學多啲技術嘅嘢，良師難求。

如果肯去美國就升3成到一倍，但他喜歡英國及歐洲嘅生活節奏。

美國因醫療（除護理外）、法律放在研究院；所以沒有計算在內
