資優生報小學時,應在Portfolio付評估報告,還是等入學時才告知校方?

我有一朋友的女兒，口齒伶俐，聰慧可人，
她的ＩＱ有１４８，當年她為女兒報考了聖保羅男女，
女拔，宣道及九龍塘，她本以為女兒如此資優，一定會被此等名校取錄，但結果竟然出乎意料之外，這些學校都婉拒收她的女兒，現在她的女兒唯有選擇了國際學校．
其實小學interview主要靠面試，預先給學校知道自己的囝囡是資優，是否真的獲得名校賞識，就真是見仁見智了．
聽説深水埗聖芳濟各特別喜歡收資優生．

我從姐姐的資優兒子上知道, 資優測試是在八歲前做和八歲後做是不同的. 八歲後做的智商分數較為"永久性"和能實際反映資優兒的天賦, 是真正的資優. 八歲前做測試的資優, 尤其是幼稚園期做的較不長久, 分數高很大部份視乎兒童的家庭對他投放的資源和訓練有幾多, 並不能反映兒童本身的質素.

而且, 做測試的是甚麼機構和CP是誰, 也會影響到測試的準確性. 教統局/社署/醫管局等做的測試結果的認受性會較一般私人執業的cp較高. 香港資優兒童家長會對這方面頗有心得.

固此, 有經驗的教育工作者並不會太看重幼稚園時期做的智商測試分數, 況且部份資優生有行為或情緒問題, 影響到課室秩序, 有些學校是深明此道的.

所以, 要不要在入學資料上列明是資優兒, 就見仁見智了.

其實亦有些直資學校是比較喜歡收資優生的, 如優才、陳守仁及真道等, 所以需唔需要在報名時交, 就好睇你選哪些學校；但亦都要再睇面試時的表現, 因為很多(當然不是全部)資優兒是較活躍, 如在面試時表現得太頑皮, 學校反而會有顧慮。

另外, 很多私人機構亦會有資優/IQ測試可做, 價錢有平有貴, 你可以去這個 WEBSITE 的 "資優兒童"討論區看看, 那裏亦有很多資料是很具參考價值的。

其實要到這些政府機構進行測試, 是要經過學校/執業醫生/社工的轉介, 才可以"掛號" 的, 然而, 排期起碼要半年. 而且, 他們收你個case是因為你的孩子有學習/情緒/行為問題, 或者在校的成績相當出眾, 才會在診斷過程的初期, 為你的孩子進行iq test. 他們不會為正常的孩子無端端進行iq test的.

固此, 有很多家長會去找私家CP去做測試, 但好睇口碑. 早幾個月前有單新聞, 報導了有個私人cp因利益問題, 經他手評估出很多資優, 並將這些資優兒轉介給自己開的, 或者是朋友開的資優培訓班, 可是, 這些所謂資優, 並非人人都是"正貨".

如果想找私人的cp, 可以考慮找大學的精神科學系專家, 他們有很多會私人應診的.

Agree. My daughter's classmate is gifted too (don't know his "marks") and got a good family background (father is a businessman, living in good area and non-working mum). No behavioural problem of gifted child. He doesn't even get the 2nd interview of SPCC. I was also surprised when his mum told me so.

To some of the school "businessman" is not a good background because there are so many illegal business in the society!

我attach 咗份"評估報告" 報優才和 HKUGAPS, 優才收咗, 但HKUGAPS連2nd in 都冇, 所以應否attach 真係depends on 間學校.

每間學校都有佢自己既收生準則，評估報告同埋家庭背景都可能會考慮，但係我諗最主要都係睇番個小朋友係面試既表現。

但係你上篇留言所講既例子，咪係資優，家庭背景良好，但都無得 2nd in 喎。

而且 5分鐘咪5分鐘囉，個個都係咁，睇下邊個既表現岩學校既要求囉。個d平時好叻，去到 in 個時表現唔到出黎，都無辦法嫁啦，香港係咁。

My experience is that the principal told me that your son is very smart and clever. I think he's suitable for international school as we don't have extra reources to take care of them.

其實我覺得資優生, 現今有好多出現, 交評估報告可以令有心了解小朋友的學校可作參考. 有邊間學校唔想收資優生, 只是唔好太勁資優生應該沒有問題... 當然面試果一關最重要, 每間學校都話收有禮貌的小朋友, 如果臨場失準, 幾資優生都沒用.

It’s a famous boys’ school.
Actually over 50% of kids in HK IQ between 110-130.
For those IQ over 140, they may have some behavioural or other problem. Extra attention is required from both parents and teacher. It’s very difficult for teachers as they need to take care more than 30 students in the class.
