It is a difficult question to answer in the absence of detailed information from the schools. But what I can tell is, in so far as their secondary schools are concerned, La Salle College was originally the Kowloon branch of St. Joseph College before the former was renamed and moved to its present location. Both of them (including their respective primary schools) are being run and managed by the same La Salle organisation in Hong Kong.

在會考成績及學界的所取的奬項中,似乎La Salle比St.Joseph (Wan Chai)出名很多.

According to today's Ming Pao, La Salle has ONE 10A student and ONE 9A student whereas St. Joseph has TWO 10A students and FIVE 9A students this year.

According to today's Hong Kong Economic Times
La Salle has 410As whereas St. Joseph has 312As students as a whole this year.

Is it La Salle is more spacious and the students will be more happy?
Is La Salle full day school?

I prefer La Salle. But if you live in HK side, St. Joseph is good too.

兩間都o甘勁, 好難作出比較, 但我就鐘意St.Joseph (Wan Chai)多D, 佢地除左學業, 運動出色, 德育方面都好好。
德育真係好緊要, 影響一生 ka.

Seems that St. Joseph has a high expectation on conduct, as it expressly warned that a student will be recorded with a 'Big Mistake' if he engages in fighting; and he will be expelled once two Big Mistakes are accurred.

一間九龍一間香港,係要選是否應該因應學生住邊去選呢?2間都係好既brand one 英中,仲要同一個喇沙會,其實有咩好比較??唔通住九龍卻花多倍車程同時間過香港讀?

Agree with you. It seems that it is only sensible to consider the issue if one is about to make the decision as to whether s/he is to move into Net 12 or Net 41 to prepare for the Lucky Draw! But if this is the case, then I would say that the successful rate is much higher in Net 12 than in Net 41 because of the big population in Kowloon (and including those from the NT).

I don't think so.

Consider the case that if you were still single, you won't try to snatch the lover of your sister but your enemy's.

So, I think it will be easy for the top students of DBSPD to change to La Salle or vice versa.  However, this situation will not last long as, if I am not wrong, DBSPD will be changing to IB two years later.  If this happens, their syllabus may not be the same in future.
