九龍真光中學是中中。而香港的中中似乎經常被矮化，是有些不公平了。誰叫現在的趨勢是大部份的家長都偏愛英中。
我覺得，其小學部英文程度應屬一般的，比起其他以『英文』掛帥或特別注重英文的小學來講，尚有一段距離！
我認為，假如真光能夠更加擺放多些資源去提升其學生的英文水準，使其學生有所表現，這樣她們才能在學界眾眾的學校中『站起來』。屆時必然會受到人們的追捧，家長們不至於一聽到是『中文』，就馬上『剎車』....

我係九龍真光中學的畢業生,我都覺得唔好一聽到"中中"就耍手擰頭.當年我阿媽知道中學派位派呢間,就第一時間幫我周圍搵其他學校.但係我覺得真係好好彩,可以讀到呢間學校.

老實講,而家整體中學/大學畢業生水平係比前低好多,就算係d名牌書院/英中的學生,d英文真係可以嚇死你,因為我做human resources,所以有時見到d求職信都會好驚.

講番九龍真光中學,我記得係我讀九龍真光中學時(80年代中),佢地由中一開始係用英文上英文堂,仲要你睇好多story books,e.g. pride and prejudice, a tale of two cities, etc. 而我地考會考有4/5人係考syl. B,只有1/5同學因為真係追唔到個程度先要考syl. A. 其實個陣時,基本上所有中中都係考syl. A,因此我覺得個時d老師真係好為我地打算,為我地將來升學/工作都好有準備.個時d老師好有責任感.

而且仲由中一開始學普通話至中三.個陣時緊係覺得好煩,但係到自己大學畢業(90年代中),就真係覺得佢地好有先見之明,80年代就一早要我地學普通話.

而以我而家的了解,無論是九龍真光中學或是小學部都對外都參與好多活動,而且仲有唔錯成績,相對起我求學的年代時比較,我自己覺得真係開放

It's nice to read your comment about True Light. In fact, the school (I mean True Light Primary Section, the one in Kowloon Tong) admitted my daughter for P.1 in Sep 06. I have another choice though which is St. Clare's. I asked many friends and even B.K parents and almost all give me positive comment on St. Clare's. True Light's website has too little information for me to know more about the school. I even call the school about a week ago and asked if they will arrange an orientation for the new girls and parents. The staff said she has no idea. In fact, St. Clare's arranged an orientation last year and it's quite impressive. St. Clare's place a lot of emphasis in English teaching.

No dount that True Light is also a good christian school with tranditional teaching method and I heard from a friend who comments that the teachers are nice to the girls too. However, homework is heavy. I would love to discuss with you to learn more about True Light. Here's my email address: [email protected].
