我聽人話, 根德園好,但是不是没德學普通話, 我個妹話st cat 的課程好淺. 但我看見好多朋友的子女都選st cat.

睇書同forum 又覺約克好似幾好, 大有好意見, 分析下.
我問老公幫個好考幾多間幼稚園, 佢話最多三間好,但我又怕未必收我個女. 考幾多間有保障一點??

I graduate from York.
I know the strength of York is Phonics. I don't know whether everything has changed, but I do remember I learned Phonics in kindergarten. It is really useful in both speaking and spelling. Students from York are strong in these two areas, e.g. I can dictate the words photosynthesis and chrysanthemum in Primary 1. I attribute this ability to my kindergarten.
In response to the concern about Chinese & Maths, well, I doubt the idea that York does not emphasize that much in these two subject. We York students can write lots of Chinese characters and form sentences out of them. When I was young, I remember reciting interesting "Poems in Dang dynasty". I don't know if it still exists but I love it.
And about Maths, indeed York never teaches complex multiplication and division since it is too hard. Yet we see no difficulties in doing calculations that a kid should know. At least we can pick up with primary school cirriculum, no matter it is an elite one or one at average level.
Hence.....if you want your kids to have a firm foundation in languages and be keen on learning, I think York is your best choice.

我唔介意佢地收禮物,但最衰就係小朋友瀨尿濕咗,有送的就即刻有人服侍,冇送嘅就等等等喎!

SC在SAT有PHONIC CLASS, 不過我覺得無用兼嘥錢!:(

(1) 同一般官、津校比較 KV K3 巳等同小一程度，若升讀名小學當然冇問題。
(2) S. C 有外籍老師，但師生比例多少? 每位同學每星期可有多少外籍老師堂?
(3)KV K3 已開始教英數及英文科已看圖作句(用筆寫，不是用口講)

但最主要是S. C有併音而KV 冇(但一對30多個)
話又說回來，現在家長誰不是自行在課外潻加各種知識。
我就識得一位KV 小朋友 K 3 時在TST YMCA 完成了一個P1.-P.3 年齡Level II 之英文併音課程。
其實2間都好:: 不過 I like KV 因為英文潻加劑易找，中文同數學潻加劑難尋

至於你話難道唔讀KV /st.cat就考唔到好的小學?咁我都係睇到個post係將呢三間學校做比較唧，咁又 ...

1.講程度，根德一定最深，第二會係St.Cat，之後先會係York

2.紀律、自理、表達，我覺得kentville都比較好，不過當然都要好睇小朋友自己本身0既

SC有D學生好有錢,compare屋企有幾多級樓梯!!!

Since curriculum is simpe and easy, so my boy is happy in SC.

KV not really so scare, but really good in Maths and Cinese, apparently my younger boy are good in this two aspect compare with his elder borther.  He has good displine and no need to worry homework at all.  So he can adapt well in his Primary.  For English, OK la, not so bad, as I also put my boy in NET playgroup, so English is not a problem for him.

------Two KG are good, depends on "what you want la!"

I have two boys, one in SC & one in KV (graduated already), my opinions are:

Don't over-praise SC, if you set your expectation high, I think it will disappointed you. Curriculum is quite simple, always do dot-to-dot practice or coloring, I think a little bit hard to adapt to Primary school work.  (compare with my boys, apparently younger son from KV is much better to adapt to his P1 than his elder brother)

For English, SC k2-K3, NET not always in class, only attend when English lesson, Overall English standand OK la!  But also highly depends on what you feed your child after school, if you want your child to be more advance in English, solely depends on SC or their Sat Phonic lesson is not enough, I found that many SC student have  Chinese-English acent.

Teachers are nice, but 有一部份人興"送禮文化", esp in X'mas.......... may be "西化"

可否講詳細D,點淺法？和為什麼會較難考小學？難道唔讀KV /st.cat就考唔到好的小學？

To be honest, 叩門位好有限, normally less than 10, so don't expect too much, if you really need to go for 第三階段叩門, you need to equip you BB with few areas of strength e.g. art + sport + music....... and join more public competition or exams to make his personal file "beautiful"!
