想請教:鋼琴演奏級考Trinity or ABRSM較有認受性?

A professional piano performer/teacher who is keen on teaching diplomas, does not sell his/her certificates like FTCL or FRSM, but on where does he/her graduate from like Curtis, Indiana. Juilliard, Eastman etc. these music schools in US are those famous HK piano teacher graduated from. And they seldom teach students that they don't know; they only teach those talented and musical students introduces by their friends.

If you are looking for these famous maestro teachers, you can find some teachers who teaches ATCL/DipABRSM and see if they can refer you to the famous teachers or not.

Thanks a lot, cowboymama & piano.misswong!  It seems still a long way to go after coming ABRSM grade 8.

May I understand more that what's the general criteria for a piano teacher teaching grade 8 or above, say FTCL in Piano Performance or APCT in Piano Teaching?

There is no age-restriction for diploma exams. But of you wish to take FRSM, you must have LRSM/FTCL/FLCM. And if you wish to take FTCL, you must have LTCL/LRSM/LLCM.

I only know that for DipABRSM, LRSM and FRSM, if the candidate is under 16, his/her parent/guardian must complete a part "Parent/Guardian Information" and sign the undertaking in the application form.  So it seems that no minimum age restriction for ABRSM Exams.

考取八級樂理是為在樂器上可作更深層次的演繹和理解。要把一首advanced歌曲演繹得好，一些基本的和聲底子（harmony）以及管弦樂團配器（orchestration）是必要的。例如一首貝多芬奏鳴曲，要彈得好，首先一定要從管弦樂角度去思考。這些知識都是在八級樂理會首先接觸，然後在AMusTCL才會深入研讀的。

P.S. 沒有一個文憑試需要八級樂理證書

我是鋼琴導師，而我自己嘅老師喺廿三歲已經考哂DipABRSM, LRSM, FRSM, ATCL, LTCL, FTCL

我之前問過佢TRINITY and ABRSM兩者有咩分別，佢話其實TRINITY嘅演奏部份評分比起ABRSM嚴格好多，所以如果想肯定自己喺演奏方面嘅水平就考吧!

我認為係香港冇認受性嘅問題. 你考邊便都其實差不多. 就好似, 係百佳買蘋果定係惠康買蘋果一樣. 當然蘋果嘅質數會有出入.

其實歷史上Trinity仲老過ABRSM. 只不過ABRSM入黎香港市場早D所以大家會有perception. 點解好多人考完ABRSM Grade1-8會轉去Trinity考演奏文憑? 綜合我朋友嘅意見就係, Trinity好似係易考D. 所以似乎只係取易捨難嘅一個決定.

據我嘅認知, 冇一個演奏級文憑係需要有8級樂理嘅要求. 可能你誤會左老師嘅意思.

如年紀小不建議考abrsm, viva voce 難，要讀書答問題，even 大人都未必考得好。

唔一定要只考一邊
考了dipabrsm 再考ltcl 又得
但相反係唔得的
前輩的意思，如果打算考到底，是但一個的fellowship 已相當不錯
不過如果只打算考associate，可能還是dipabrsm 比較全面些
而所有performing diploma 也不用先考grade 8 theory

上了FTCL or FRSM 就不會太介意了。
有人ATCL....LTCL.....FTCL
有人DipABRSM.....LRSM.....FRSM
也有人DipABRSM.....LTCL.....FTCL
並沒有8級樂理的必要吧!
