Yes, same understanding as mine.

I understand that Kau Yan is a private school so they have no right to stop you from going for Gov't allociation (including 自行 and Lucky Draw).  But since this school will proactively inform the Gov't name of students that accepted the offer, so the Gov't will inform them when the allocation result in case their student go for allocation.

You can call and ask the school directly to confirm.

What they said are that:

If you register with Kau Yan,

- For the first round 自行, if you get enough marks and get an offer, and then if you register with that school, Kau Yan will put you on waitlist.

Kau Yan will not notify Education department you have registered before announcement of 自行 result.
So, the advantage is on the successful applicants of Kau Yan, that they could choose between 自行offer and Kau Yan.

- But you cannot apply lucky draw in next January. Because once do so, Education dept will notify Kau Yan and Kau Yan will put you on waitlist. Whether you have a great offer or a shit offer from lucky draw, Kau Yan will not resume your school place (given they already have a long wait list and other students are keen to get in). You could only be in the  end of waitlist and I think in this case, getting the Kau Yan school place would be very difficult and unlikely.

No need to 放棄自行, just choose one between
two after the自行result , not both.  But definately can't join the lucky draw.......

我也收到救恩的信了,要31/10前交留位費,可以等自行分配學位結果,但如果到21/11成功派到自行分配間學校,而又選了註冊,那麼救恩就會改你做後補!
真係很難決定啊!有什麼advice?
