想請教入到一線小學的家長們, 有無參加面試班呀?

無報任何面試班，但自己在家中跟小朋友玩面試遊戲，同埋報多幾間學校以拿取實戰經驗。個人覺得面試班不是沒有幫助，但有點名過其實，搵錢居多。如你的小朋友真的很內向，你又唔介意洗錢同有時間去上堂，報都無妨。

我識一個，每次見 uncles, aunties 就要練一次 "介紹自己"，有次某 uncle 大整古，係佢講到一半時問問題，阿小朋友好怨恨地啤阿 uncle 一眼，跟住… 從頭再背過！

I think the interview class is useful, my children have take the interview class, have offer from CKY, SFA and APS. The interview class make the children learn the style of each school's interview and familar before the real interview. Then they can handle it and not afraid of it.

My child got offers from APS, Logos, Evangel..... and I think interview class has onlly some help.  More important is parents' guidance, support and coaching of the child.

Depend the character of the child, for my girl it is useful and she got 6 offers ~ CKY, KTS, Piu Kiu, Tak Nga, 礼賢 及聖母. 2 waiting~ WKF, GH and only 1 reject by DGS. My bubby and me are quite satisfied with the result. We do agree that the 3-sides cooperation is very important i.e. aids from tutors of interview class, parents' inputs and the critical person - our child - own initiative.

I think if your question is whether the interview classes alone will get your kid into one of the top-notch local schools, then I agree with others that it will not.

But if you want to know whether interview classes will help, then my experience is yes, it will help.  When my girl was going through it, they did not really teach them model answers, but rather HOW to answer a question properly.  For example, if the principal asks a question but the kid does not know the answer, then how the kid should reply and not just say "I don't know".  

So I think if money and schedule permit, then no harm to include it as one of the outside-of-school classes.

Totally agree with  purplemummy.  I felt that the accpetance of the school depends on the character of the child.  My son attended the interview class for few months and he interviewed with 8 schools.  He is only accepted by WKF and DBS.  He was rejected by APS, KTS , YW and on waiting of St Paul Boy.   
But I think that the interview class is useful for him to get some idea of the interview skills and more confident in face of the Principal / teachers.   At the same time,  We also spent time to train / teach him the common knowledge.  

P.S  APS / KTS / YW are more focus on the acadamic.  My son is active style.  So,  I thought the character is more situable DBS / WKF.
