Does the private bus confirm the seat of your kid? I have called Miss Li (82016x18) a couple of months ago. She just said reserved a seat for my kid, but then no other followup until now. Didn't mention about the time to pickup and $$$ as well.

Does anyone know will Kentville conduct any pre-school meeting again before 1/9? Because I still got many problems about the school:
1) P.E. uniform
2) books and personnal stationery

In last yr, Kentville didn't conduct any pre-school meeting again before 1/9.

P.E. uniform will be collected on 1/9 (if you already made the payment for P.E. uniform).  Books will be distributed on the learning schedule (教完一本後再派一本), so the books will be kept by the school.  No need to bring any personnal stationery to school for K1.  You may need to prepare a snack box & a towel box only.

Suppose 1/9 is not a formal school day, the parents will meet to the teacher & the orientation will be held on that day.

So both father and mother can accompany with the child on 1/9?  Would it be too crowd in the classroom? How long will the schedule on that day last?

In the last yr, if you want that both father & mother accompany with the child, you can do it.

学校會分開幾段時段，e.g. 9:00 - 10:00 am  / 10:00 - 11:00 am / 11:00 - 12:00 noon...........所以，在9月1日同班同学都未必同一時段到学校。

Hi, 各位媽媽可否比小小意見我, 因我仔仔都會係根德道返下午05 K1, 但到現在還是心大心細, 唔知讀唔讀好, 因為他比較內向及沉默, 唔得主動, 另外功課是否非常多, 會谷到好辛苦, 另外我們是全職父母, 怕沒有太多時間教佢, 各位認為他是否適合在此校就讀.......

In fact, Kentville didn't have too much homework for K1 - i.e. 1 page per day only.  We're also full time working parents & didn't have too much time for my son, but my son is fine in Kentville so far.

welcome to all moms/kids.  my son is attending k1 kent rd now.  i have all yr worries in last year.  but now i know i make a right choice for my son.  so far, i found kentville has its own way to teach the students in other aspects (not only from the textbooks) which seems more than other kinders teach.  and they can absorb easily, even not much revision with them (i know most are working moms).  what they learn now will definitely help for entering a good primary school.  maybe thats why it is so famous in kln side.

about homework, i guess all yr kids can handle especially when they have to do it everyday (starting from second term).  

one point i will complain is there are no extra activity, outdoor visiting, picnic day, native speaking teacher as compared with other kinders.

give some confidence to kentville and your babies.

Regarding the topic, I would like to suggest to gather a mothers' club for 05 K1, we may arrange the outdorr activities such as picnic together to share since we are working mothers.
I want to share the hapiness between us in their school life in Kent.
