fion6406 : 初時 (2000 fall) 仲以為可以去考區內好津校, so 無考任何Kowloon Tong KG, 到 2001 Chinese New Year 去研究新小一入學方法 (2001 sept 生效), 先發現唔夠分, 無好 address and 無運, so 預左入私校. 如一般人想法, 名KG有 jetso, at least 返來自己區 d 中上津校都有把握 lor. Then 2001 年 5 月去 St Cat 執雞 (expensive = many dead chickens, 又我係細女)     of course, 我都 buy St Cat concept.

不是話 St Cat 唔好, depends on your needs. 我識有人去硬 MAryknoll (必收生) and 沙田名津小 (又係必收生), 都山長水遠去 St Cat 幫英文打抵. 有 d 用來考私校做 back-up, 有 d 慕名而來, etc.  相信亦 apply 其他 kOwloon Tong 名 KG.

以你情況及我考小一 experience, 我會覺得 禮賢 係一個保險線. If 我唔后知后覺 and/or 政府那么快手, 我都考 禮賢 , 民生, etc --近年新貴.

So 你要認真考慮實際需要, as this is a long-term investment.

你 mention d primary schools 各有 style. 睇你要乜. If I were you, 我會騎住禮賢, 考其他. 你仲可以 join first round 派位, 但無統一 lor.  比較穩陣, nothing to lose besides school fee for many years.

可能又得罪人, sorry. 不過相信好野自然大把人講 or 問其他人去 balance 我 somewhat weird rationale

SYMAMA:  Exactly.  I did not go to Alliance for interview after I knew I get Good Hope.  Waste me $40 application  fee.

Do you think so many people failed in DGJS because this school takes most of the students from CCKG?

sorry I really don't know for sure.  ST Cat has around 500 kids (let's say 300 girls), CCKG has 42 girls, applicants for DGJS always mantains around 2000 (girls from HK side also apply) every year, but it has only 105 P.1 places.
