Dear mamiduckie,

To my understanding during Parent's Meeting, dictation marks & composition marks will be counted in Test, and Dictation will have examinations too.

Correct me if I'm wrong.

Hi Jackielee,

Hv u attended the briefing session last Saturday finally?  Today there will be a circular inviting application for enrollment to the music class so don't worry you can apply for your son if you wish.  For P1 boys, there are no musical instrument classes but a general class to let boys to have a general idea about all instruments in an orchestra then they will choose the one they like in P2.

My son said he likes "drum" the most wow

st.jo每年2測2考都是獨立計分的,測驗唔計名次,考得好report會
print有first term award(當然中英數常都要有90分以上),期考會有班名次,大考會有級名次和班名次.最緊要是大考考得好,因為全級50名內會邀請家長回家觀賞 ...

Do you know what will be tested for 常識??   Do they need to know how to write the words appeared in the text book?  There are plenty of new words.

小兒現在小三了,小一小二的常識通常都會提供埋字詞給小朋友,會有5條時事題,是選擇題,有5分,有時都幾難,因為我自己都唔識.
題目都是以書本的範圍為主,不會太難,有時會要小朋友畫下圖畫.

That's better.  You know they already have a lot of Chinese and English vocab. to memorize.  It would be too many if they need to know how to write all words in 常識 textbook.

us {P1 mami. As you know , we know nothing about the test.  Now, we don't teach our son to write the word of 常識　at least. Thank you very much.

其實小二時小兒都有參加過長笛班,但只參加了一期便沒有繼續,因為真是很浪費時間,佢地一班裏有唔同班別的學生,有d已經學過同較高年級,進度較快,但好似小兒咁完全無底,佢又只得一個導師,妳話得一個鐘頭,小朋友會學到d嘜?(我意思係個導師根本就無可能同一時間兼顧到佢地).而且男仔多數都較活潑,佢地一班人可能玩仲多過學,我地家長又睇唔到佢地,如果真是有心學,不而係出面學好過.
學校係無規定小朋友一定要學樂器,但到三年級所有小朋友都要學木童笛,st.jo上到高年級,音樂要考樂理,如果小朋友無音樂底係會比較蝕底,因為音樂是計落平均分,不多不少會影響名次.

我個仔學緊游水及珠算,如果可以的話,學多樣樂器就夠了,不過學你話齌而家星期六日都冇咩時間剩,有時又要溫習,唔通唔駛玩咩,好佩服有D家長可以比個小朋友學6,7樣野.

No ah.  I don't think he has time on Saturdays and he shows not too interested in music instruments law.  On Saturdays my son has drawing class (he enjoys it a lot and has joined the class for about two years and has won two drawing competitions so far so won't quit this) and tennis already.  And we need time for revision.  No more spare time lah

除了主科外,VA,PE,MUSIC分都會計入平均分,
老師會告知小朋友那份VA會計入考試或測驗分.
