Are you sure you are applying for "Playgroup" class? As I know, in HKPS, Nursery = K1.

其實你唔好太擔心, 我個仔21個月大啦, 都係一個字都唔肯講, 一味講bb話... 我每次陪佢interview, 佢都只係手指指去回答老師, 又唔肯坐定定, 佢咁樣interview都有兩個offer啦, 所以唔識講嘢唔一定唔收架! 老師會睇埋其他方面嘅嘢, 之前去其他學校interview, 都有老師讚我仔仔小肌肉發展得好, 又識模仿老師d動作... 我相信好嘅學校同老師, 都會識得搵每個小朋友嘅優點! Good luck!!

當然啦! : ) 我張interview card都係寫Playgroup.  點解你咁問既?其他好多學校兩歲班都係叫N1, Nursery,所以我自己都係咁叫開,所以可能上面既post我講"nursery".......

tks a lot!!  其實so far 有兩間已經有result既學校都收左我bb,我只係見到差不多大既bb識講咁多野,自己果個就好似咁慢,有些心急姐........ : )

不過,講開,HKPS咁多申請,大把學生俾佢地揀,同樣答到(講or指)老師問題既應該有好多好多,咁識講野既應該真係著數d!

Hope every bb can get good offer.
Parents, do remember don't compare your own bb to others, only compare with himself at different stages, if progress on the right track, give him a big kiss. How would you feel if your kid compare parent with others?

3) Where is your nose ? (本來係易到痺嘅問題，但阿仔就玩心情，唔答。最後老師話it's OK, 就比禮物佢揀，問佢do you want orange or blue ? 好彩阿仔肯答blue。臨走我唔忿氣，再問阿仔where's your nose? 佢就答啦)

About HKPS, copying from other BK forum, just for your information:

"every school has its pros and cons, so I think it is better not to compare or guess who is the "winner" simply by counting the no. of kids getting into how many "famous school".

from what i know, kv is good in helping kids for a solid foundation in writing, grammar, esp in chinese. the kids are trained to be very disciplined. i have heard that the kids learnt how to tidy up their school bag everyday, and do homework automatically (excellant! it must be a beautiful dream to all moms! or at least to me!)

sc is good in systematic teaching style, if you follow its way, your kid can get gradual progress everyday. english is good (oral and writing), chinese is also fine. teachers are caring and friendly)

for hkps, ECA a lot, kids with fun. interactive style to learn, so kids are creative and learn problem solving, capable of logical thinking. mandarin and english (oral) very good. reading scheme excellent since pre-nursery year. maths is fair (to my kid maybe a bit too easy as he learn from centre outside). teachers are excellant and caring (as the school size is smaller, all teachers and students are very close. even the cleansing aunties are very familiar with each kid. haha! even if the kid is doing naughty thing, he won't escape from it! as the aunties will report to teachers and moms after school.  )

the principal is very concerned abt the school and nice, whenever you have queries or requests, she will put parents and kids in the first priority to consider.  just see the interview arrangement this year, it impressed me much. As the principal is busy helping in the whole morning without stop/rest. she greet and receive every
kid and parent lining up in the queues, helping those with little BB and strollers...........

some parents even joke that this school is a bit "commercial" because the service is too good! haha, i would say, it gives the best services to kids and parents already. so nothing wrong!

there are also a lot of special programs organised for different classess, eg. e-learning of maths, visiting the bakery factory, regular reading/mentor program with other primary schools, cheer-leading competition, physical exercises everyday, disneyland performance program, etc ..............

hence, it all depends what kind of school you want to put your kid in, and what style of kid your child is.

the % of kid entering famous school, is actually not very much meaningful. it all depends on the kid (70%) and how much effort the parent put in (20%). the rest is luck (5%) and school input (5%) (inc language, problem solving skill, manner, etc)"

想請教樂基既英文是否全是外籍老師教? 英普班全是外籍老師教, 請問上午的中英班, 是否都是外籍老師教英文?

據我所知佢既英文老師全是NET. 總共應有6-7位.我仔上年NURSERY(上午中英班同今年K1(英普班)既英文老師都係外籍老師.

1) 你的仔仔在樂基讀得開心嗎? 你覺得playgroup (2歲班) 的課程怎樣?
2) 外籍老師教英文是否有一半時間 (中英班) ? 除了教英文, 還會跟小朋友做什麼?
3) 我覺得校舍課室較細, 活動空間是否不太足夠?
4) 我很欣賞其閱讀計劃, 請問每星期傳閱的書籍(帶回家中)是否在課堂會再由老師講解?
5) 樂基本身行政不太好, 所以好奇想知道老師能否教導學生自律, 守規矩? 因為活動教學, 所以最擔心小朋友太放肆.

由於我本身英文程度不是很好, 所以希望選擇一所能提供較好英語環境的幼稚園, 今年替仔仔報了中英班, 現在還在考慮樂基和劍鳴幼兒園.

1) 你的仔仔在樂基讀得開心嗎? 我覺得佢開心成日提住D同學仔同老師, 一入學校就頭也不回直入課室.今年6月豬流感提早放暑假, 佢成日話要返學...你覺得playgroup (2歲班) 的課程怎樣? 我覺得係好輕鬆既一年, 完全無功課. 等佢地容易適應第一年既返學生崖. 但已有READING SCHEME.
2) 外籍老師教英文是否有一半時間 (中英班) ? NURSERY果年既中英班,根據老師講上堂多數係用英文, 但因小朋友太細, 中文老師會好似TRANSLATE咁講多一次岩岩英文老師講既野 除了教英文, 還會跟小朋友做什麼? 做小手工, 畫畫, 唱歌, 講故事, 做體操, 種花, 養魚,整野食. 中英班每天有15分鐘係普通話老師上堂教普通話
3) 我覺得校舍課室較細, 活動空間是否不太足夠? 課室係幾細, 好似二樓果D課室大間D (K2, K3). 但我去SC INTERVIEW既時候, 佢地D班房都係差不多, 可能仲細. KV就大 (CAMPUS同CLASSROOM都大). HKPS既戶外空間都算OK,佢地日日都出去玩.
4) 我很欣賞其閱讀計劃, 請問每星期傳閱的書籍(帶回家中)是否在課堂會再由老師講解? YES兩位老師每天都會同佢地個別講一次. 我發覺今年 (K1)老師要求又高左, 依家唔止佢地要明故事內容, 老師仲EXPECT佢地要熟識內容後, 鼓勵佢地講番出黎. 我好喜歡佢地培養小朋友睇書既興趣同埋訓練佢地PRESENTATION SKILLS, 因為將來考小學時會用到(DGJC & YING WAH 2ND INTERVIEW都會叫小朋友講故仔或者做PICTURE DESCRIPTION), 呢D SKILL一定要一早訓練.
5) 樂基本身行政不太好, 所以好奇想知道老師能否教導學生自律, 守規矩? 佢行政係咪唔好就唔知, 因為我未親身感受過(可能好彩), 亦未讀過其他幼稚園所以無得比較. 根據我了解, 老師都幾嚴, 我仔NURSERY班時同人爭玩具推人同埋唔收拾玩具, 比老師訓過出門口企. 但有老師睇住. 同埋見過有一段時間有D高年班既哥哥姐姐, 好似風紀咁(身上有個牌OR LABEL)早上拖D 低班師弟妹入課室. . 因為活動教學, 所以最擔心小朋友太放肆.

由於我本身英文程度不是很好, 所以希望選擇一所能提供較好英語環境的幼稚園, 今年替仔仔報了中英班, 現在還在考慮樂基和劍鳴幼兒園. (個人認為KM都係好既幼稚園, 因為佢地NET都多, 課程能銜接本地小學, 重紀律. 但有一點要留意就係佢地既NURSERY班未必一定可直升上K1(今年唔知上年係咁))

據BK媽咪的資料,劍鳴,樂基都係好學校,兩間都勁勁勁多人申請,是但入一間都好啦!現在一間未有結果,一間未開始申請,都仲係人地選我地的階段,未到我地去選讀邊間的階段...

      謝謝你的詳細回覆和分享! 我上網都參考過許多媽媽的留言, 概括來說很多人說樂基既活動教學近似SC, 劍鳴近似KV (因為重學術和紀律), 而我考慮仔仔的語言發展都算ok, 22個月已經可以用許多句子表達自己的想法和要求, 因為我和老公都係教書(中和數), 所以想補足家中沒有英語環境這問題 (沒有外傭).
      聽聞劍鳴都有多位外籍老師, 但也有本港人教英文, 並非全是外籍老師? 曾聽說有幾位媽媽說在劍鳴面試時港人用英語考問小朋友, 但文法和用詞都是有錯漏 (參考意見) 因此現階段只作客觀分析, 排排幼稚園在心目中的位置, 看看哪間較適合仔仔, 這只是做足功課準備而非鎖定一間, 面試結果並不是掌握父母手中, 所以只想作好準備, 因為劍鳴稍後才接受報名........
[生仔仔前我也是教師, 深明父母須了解小朋友的能力和性格, 否則會容易令小朋友感到挫敗或阻礙各方面既發展. ]
