Nearly 80% of the candidates got 15 points. A   good recommendation letter from "powerful source" together with outstanding performance, there might be a chance to get in those "band one" schools.  There is no such thing as "knocking doors" and then granted a seat, besides, there is no special points credited to certain kindergartens, hence, many pupils got in via "lucky draw", so luck plays a very important role.

Have you been to HK Disney before ?  It is actually rather small but for small kids like ours are okay.

bbmummmy, 我仲consider 緊個phonics 班因我想ian 學雙ping 音啦.  因佢依家睇個d vcd 已經係 "th", "ee" .... 唱歌佢就一定上ka 啦. 比多d 時間佢接觸普通話. 仲有你可以consider 下比sherri 繼續返, 因唔係太多學校有普通話, 仲有依家n 班一路比佢上多d 遲下好d ka, 接觸多左可以多d 認識呀.

Sorry to interrupt.  May I know how you calculate the score for getting into primary schools?

Sorry to interrupt again.  My son was watching "honics Kids" and he loves it.  Of course, he has not picked up any phonics technique from there yet, but he loves learning ABCs and learning what they represent (eg. A is for Alligator, B is for Bear etc.).  He can remember all the vocabularies from there.  It also teaches the way we write the alphabets - my son loves it and would always follow it.

我對宣幼認識唔多, comment唔到, 舊年亦無同Daniel報, 一來我鍾意KM, 二來宣小呢類傳統<谷>型學校唔適合我小朋友, 唔meet 我 expectation, 會係我 last resort.

我個friend唔同, 佢小朋友屬文靜內向書生型, 宣小非常適合佢, 入宣幼鋪路, 係明智之舉, 而且佢N1唔係讀KM, 又有第二個BB, 如果大B secure 到 a place in 宣小會好少少.  所以每人既case唔同, 小朋友性格亦唔同, 選校自然唔同.

I heard from my friend that it is very difficult to get in 宣幼 if you are not 宣道會的教徒.  They reselve 2/3 places for their 教徒.  I think the case is similar to 宣小.

bbmummmy, Ian 睇好多唔同種類的vcd, 好似crystal111介紹的phonics kids. 仲有longman 出的phonics . 佢地都好似仲有longman 個set 係依家kumra 教緊個d 黎ka. 你可以post 個set learning to read with phonices 個樣比我look look 嗎?

幾日冇上黎, 因上午同湋圖返學, 下午先返公司,勁忙.   
琴日同今日開始, km唔比家長陪, 直踩3個鐘.

我同湋圖搭左校車返學校, 交低比miss, 我同湋圖講去買益力多, 冇喊, 到放學, 我叫校車姨姨接上校車(比湋圖知遲d都係校車姨姨接佢上校車), 之後我先上校車.

湋圖見到我都冇喊, 只係要我手上既益力多.

但而明天開始至係考驗, 因會佢自己搭校車返學放學. 一定喊死   (因呢兩日上校車, 佢都要我上, 佢先上)   
希望返到學校, 見到老師同&同學仔, 會易d識應.

不過有樣野好好笑..呢幾日, 搭校車放學, 只須3分鐘車程, 上車時,哥哥姐姐同湋圖握手(因姨姨話比佢地知湋圖係新朋友). 而佢落車, 成車哥哥姐姐同湋圖講: 湋圖bye bye.
湋圖可能開心得滯, 落左校車, 望住校車喊住byebye..   唔知好嬲定好笑~
