Thanks again for the birthday party yesterday. The kids had a good time. Ka Ka looked a little bit unhappy near the end, ? was there too many people. I guess she must cheer up when she opens all her birthday gifts.

I have to work on the first week of Brian's summer holidays.  Maybe Brian will go to Mainland with my parents.  My husband and I may join them on Friday night.

I heard from the Mom of Chung Chung (a student of K1A) about some summer interest classes like cookery. Will look for more information.

I don't have a maid now but will consider hiring one.  However, space in my house is a problem.  What's more, just wonder if my family can get along well with a new member as I have heard of some negative comments from my colleagues.

Any relative about the same age as Brian in China ?  If yes, then it's better.

In fact, there are a lot of interest classes out there.  I do like cookery class.  I know some offers as well.  Yet, in terms of duration & timing, it does not fit my requirement.

The most impt thing is to check if your mom can really handle taking care of 2 kids.  And, whether a helper is good or not depends on many factors.  Try not to worry too much if you really need one.

Thanks for your suggestion.  Actually, my Mom prefers to have a helper.  She's getting older and it's becoming hard for her to take care of two kids.

Brian doesn't have any relative of similar age.  He will feel a bit bored in China.  What's more, it will be hot at that time and staying long outdoor is not suitable.

It's better to hire a helper coz it's too much for your mom to take care 2 kids. It's Ok if Brian's at school, but if 2 kids stay at home at the same time, it'll be a problem. Hiring maid depends on luck, if you need a good agent, I have 2 good agents and lots of experience.

It's not easy to find summer course for them. Doris, there is one at Metroplois mall (musicbox) and they offer courses week by week and you can consider.
I want to find something about presentation skills for Preston. Although he's fluent in English, he doesn't have enough confident to speak in front of a group. Miss Cheng told me that she knew Preston could read the whole book (she overheard when he's reading by himself), then she asked him to tell the class, he'd afraid to do so. Usually Miss Cheng would ask Cressida to accompany Preston, then he could do it. Have you heard about Kids Gallery? Is it good?

Star Learning Centre is the same as Kids Gallery & there's an outlet at Metropolis Mall.  You can give it a try.  Right now, Davin is taking Art Lesson at Kids Gallery (kln tong) & I'll let him take other course there.  The coming term will start in Sept.  They do offer summer course as well.

Brian joined the trial class in Musicbox last summer.  It's not bad.  Musicbox also offers courses like story telling and drama.

Dear all,

Brian has been sick since last Saturday, with sore throat, high fever and serious coughing and vomiting.  He didn't have good appetite and could only eat a little in each meal.  He visited the doctor the second time yesterday.  Hope the prescription of new medicines helps.

Too bad.  Even though it's hot, kids still get sick easily.  Davin also went to the doctor yesterday.  His situation was not bad but I just want to get him cured before it got too serious.

Does Davin have similar symptoms to Brian's?  I asked the doctor to prescribe more powerful medicines instead of using anti-biotics in the second visit.  It may take longer for Brian to recover but I think it's not good to take anti-biotics unless the situation is really bad.

davin just got some coughing & his voice changed a bit.  i thought we'd better got him visit the doctor before getting a lot worse.

Thank you so much for your kind concern.  I am getting much better now.  However, I still cough and have to clear my throat frequently in the morning.  I stopped taking the medicines for asthma and bronchitis since last week.

Hope you feel better. Take good care of yourself. Actually, maybe ask the agent in Whampoa 1st. They have more choices and is closer coz you may need to go many times.

I guess a lot of kids got sick and cross-infected at school. Preston starts to have some cough since yesterday. He just recovered after getting sick for 1 month. I'm really scared that he'll get sick again.

Brian is much better after taking the new prescription of medicines.  He didn't vomit and his body temp returned to normal since yesterday.  However, his neck is still hot.  Afraid that the fever will return (happened often before).

It's really difficult to completely avoid the situation of cross infection, esp. when the class is so big now.

I feel quite frustrated that Preston keeps getting ill. I guess one problem in LH is there is no open area for them to get some fresh air.

Right.  That may be one of the reasons.  This time Davin went to see the doctor again in less than a month.  Do keep track on Preston's coughing & send him to see the doctor before getting worse.

Talking about visiting the doctor, Preston had the record. He went to the doctor 6 or 7? times in 6 weeks (so many times that I can't even remember) and maybe another visit this week. I don't know what to say. I start giving him vitamin C (he's already taking Scott's fish oil) and hope it helps. Actually, Preston doesn't like sweets and I asked Miss Cheng to give to him every day at school (coz you know they listen to Miss Cheng). The 1st day when Miss Cheng gave to Preston, Davin asked for one as well and Miss Cheng said it's for Preston to make him stronger. Then Davin said ' OK, I don't need it coz I am strong enough'   Miss Cheng told me the above conversation.

They really listen to Miss Cheng.  You're right.  I hope your kind of vitamin helps.  Strange that Preston does not like sweets.  Yet, if he's got a bit cough, normall I won't give any vitamin.

Kids' conversation is really interesting.  Davin was a bit late today & it was about to start morning exercise.  Guess who was the first one to greet Davin & talked to him ?  Preston.

Let me ask my doctor friend to see what precaution we can take.
