The result of CKY is not yet known.  If we are lucky enough to have CKY offer, it will then be another "happy headache".  Both are good schools, but in very different approaches.  I like the teaching approach of CKY very much, but I agree that the school fee is a concern - more than double of SFA!

Let's see what will happen.  And maybe if we can have DGJS, then we don't need to think any more la ....... ha ha ha ...... I am dreaming again.  Stop me from dreaming please ....... :Q

Well, we didn't go for both schools. :P I personally quite like CKY but find the school fee quite expensive!

YLMom, yes, yes, day-dreaming... another week to go!!!! Just wish that day dreaming becomes true!!!

I think it'd better to know the result and so we can move further.... sometimes, no choice is better choice. :)

My friend's kid got both CKY and TSL offers last year and finally she went for TSL and gave up CKY. She can afford the school fee though.

昨晚同一位朋友傾到 .. 她的兒子 cky p.1,有好多親子功課做 (eg. on-line search info, OUTDOOR WORK) ... 佢地兩公婆都好忙 ... 唔幫個仔又未去到佢可以自己做的地步 ... 所以都好難兼顧咁多親子功課 .. 但做得求求其個仔又可能學唔到野 .. 當初選cky, 以為冇咁多功課測驗可以輕鬆些 ...
所以讀呢種approach既學校真係要諗埋自己可唔可以有時間同心機可以support到.

我個女係KG D project功課好少 .. 但我都好求其 ..
好多時番工幫佢係OFFICE 做定 PRINT 定 .. 佢參予的部份可能只是剪剪貼貼(不是和我一起上網找資料) .. 所以我知我自己作為媽媽係唔適合讀PROJECT APPROACH的 ...
我反而有心機日日同佢做吓D PAPER EXCERISE

佢DADDY以為CKY少功課個女會輕鬆些 ... 佢就可以HEA D (佢係ZERO CONTRIBUTION的) .. 跟本就唔係呢回事 ...

所以諗 BUDGET之餘都要考慮學校APPROACH FIT 唔 FIT FAMILY

Are we expected to receive the letter on Dec 21 or 22 ah?  Some say since the bazaar is on Dec 21 they will mail out the letters that day, meaning earliest arrival in our mailboxes on Dec 22?

I believe the letter will be arrived earilest on 21/12 as what the tiny note (distributed during first interview) mentioned in black and white so the postal should be sent on 20/12.

Also, I read last year post about KTS result, the KTS postal arrived date was 14/12/2010, and registeration date was 22/12/2010. It seems KTS was intended to let the girl to wait for the DGJS offer (last year offical and final arrival date was 21/12/2010) before confirming the KTS offer.
So I guess DGJS letter will arrive on 21/12/2011 this year.

每日去信箱收信, 都會留意每封信的厚度, 到時唔知封信係 "厚" 定係 "薄"... I am getting crazy...

Just curious, will you all open the letter together with your daughters?   My daughter likes checking mailbox and opening letters very much, especially if the letters are addressed to her own name.  However, I just wonder if she opens it and finds it a reject letter, will it be a bit sad for her?  Or should we train her to accept failure?

我真係無諗過同個囡囡一齊開信, 到時封信真係唔知要灘幾耐至敢開. 我都幾贊成你的建議, 教導小朋友接受順境或逆境.

And maybe actually the "success" or "failure" doesn't mean much to her - just a little girl.  It means much more to us as adult!  So actually maybe it is me who needs to learn 接受順境或逆境 !

Maybe ask her to open it if I am not brave enough!

"接受順境或逆境" --->This is what I am hypnotizing  myself not to get too upset when the result is finally disclosed.

Angelakibb：多謝你嘅分享，俾左d insight 我。我喜歡活動型式嘅IB 教育模式，係因為我想小朋友在求學過程中學到自學求知既能力，唔好做填鴨。但如果學校要求由家長參與太多去幫拖，就失去原意喇，咁不如讀番本地課程，我仲容易跟好多添。不過最終入到邊間，都係睇天意啦！希望大家嘅女女都入到既心儀，又合適嘅學校。

Angelakibb, thanks for your additional information. I think it's useful for parents if they opt for CKY.  Another concern is the lack of track recocrd for CKY.  It's also worth considering.

My girl keeps asking me these days when the result will be announced. I think even they are small, they understand our expectations.  I told her everytime that she has already tried her best, hence, the result doesn't matter.  But as parents, we do have expectations.  So, it's not easy!!
