Cos I'm considering whether (or not) to go somewhere during summer hols.  Must know the school calendar before finalizing.

And summer hols was cut short after the SARS holidays in 2003.

Dear all,

Does anyone know the purpose of installing the new "Motorwind System" (see the latest photos just posted on the school website) on the roof of the New Annex?

Is it for the purpose  of educating the pupils or for capturing the wind power??

Dear all,

Lots of people visited the Open Day today.

Looks like 1st of May (Labour Day) will be a better timing for TSL's Open Day in future years than a Saturday in March.

Luckily, no rain for most of the day.

My son is now just 3.5 y.o. and not a student of TSL. We'd been to the open day on 1 May.

According to the student who lead the guided tour, the school lets the student to connect the circuit and the electricity (I think that's just a very tiny amount) generated contributes part of that used in the new annex.

Yes, I also saw the mini motor wind system in one booth and in one classroom upstairs.
I think this is mainly for educational purpose.
The amount of electricity generated is rather limited.

Heard that only a few schools have installed this system so far.

In deep mourning for Sichuan earthquake victims,
background colour of school website is grey today (instead of bright red).

Just noticed this change on the school website today and wanted to write something here and you are ahead of me.

The school is doing the right thing at the right timing to show our mourning  for the victims.

It is a very very sad news to see what has been happening in Sichuan in the past week.
May the unfortunate ones rest in peace.
For those who are being rescued, please stay strong and live with dignity.

Dear all,

I believe some of you might have attended the school annual concert this evening.
Joined it for the first time and I am really impressed by the pupils' overall performance, especially the Musical "The Emperor's New Clothes".
Although this is an old story that most of us already know, pupils' marvellous performance tonight recalled our memories.

Heard that the pupils just praticsed the show for not too long.
The Musical is performed by P.4-P.6 pupils and their performance tonight was terrific, especially the tailors and the King!!!
They are really great!!!
I can't stop clapping my hands the whole night.
I am sure those parents and pupils who were there tonight will agree to my comments.
I will definitely regret very much if I missed to watch the show tonight.

yeah, agree!

My girl is P6. After attending the concert for the 1st time, I really regret to have missed once. The one that I missed held in a week day afternoon, so only my husband took a day leave to accompany my girl to attend. After then, the concert change the schedule to evening to faciltate more parents to attend.

Salute to all the teachers who have paid so much effort on the concert.

1) To hold the annual concert in  a weekend's afternoon is definitely not a good timing as many parents need to work.
Friday evening will be a much better timing if the school would like to have more parents to join  and  watch their children's performance.

2) The Musical is performed by a lot of P.4-P.6 pupils and I think their performance is quite representative of the average standard of TSL's pupils  of senior grades.
I do have high hope on them after watching the show.
Keep up the good efforts!!!

3) Yes, I think we should give a lot of credit to all the teachers who have devoted plenty of time to make this annual concert a successful one.
I look forward to seeing an even better one next time.

How are you recently?  Also, you have not shown up on BK for quite long time!!!  

With regard to the new principal, I heard that he is very hard working.
He seems to be very devoted to all the school's activities.
In the past one year, I think TSL's core values have not been changed.
I can see a more efficient, prompt and wise use of the school website  in announcing the latest information to parents and the public.
I can also see somewhat higher level of privacy in the admission process of new pupils and so on.

Hi Principal

Long time no see!

I have been busy these days.  That is why I have not posted anything for long.

Generally speaking, I am quite happy with Mr Yeung, even though I don't know what he actually did.   The annual concert is marvellous.  The open day is impressive.  The SSPA result is the best ever.  

However, there are quite a number of experienced teachers leaving the school.  As far as I know, they are Miss May Chow, Miss Kat Lee, Mr Paul Lui and Mr Geiger.  I am sorry to see them go...
