Comforting to see that this has a happy ending. If no one explore and learn more about this subject, the kid will just be tabooed as a "disruptive" student that does not pay attention to the teacher.
Giftedness could be a blessing and a curse. I remember the music teaching telling me that "perfect pitch" for a musician is an inconvenience and "relative pitch" is useful.
I have a friend who has two sons and the second one has all of the characters of a gifted child and also a little devil. My friend acknowledge that this little kid could mature into a Saint or a Devil. He suggested that he will treat his son like a sheep and guide him away from danger and pitfalls as much as he can. Afterall, his life is his own and there is really so much that we as parents can do in the 15-20 odd years that we spend with them.
I enjoy parenthood and I see the occasional "rebellion" as a challenge without which both you and the child will have no "tale" to tell in the future when they become an adult.
The most important thing is enjoy the "experience", carry out the duty as parents to the best of our reosurces and ability.
I also try to guide him to the right way as possible as I can, but it really very tired. Lucky, we met the good teacher in P.1, I can reduce some pressure than KG period.
